Haute is the absolute cutest local cafe in the area! I love stopping by and Anisa is an amazing barista as well!! It makes my day every time to grab a coffee each morning.
I love their iced lattes in particular. As a regular at the cafe, I would also strongly recommend against the man who woke up on the wrong side of the bed and wrote the bizarre message below. Haute Cafe is an amazing establishment with wonderful employees. It is a safe space for people of all backgrounds to connect, and it is warm, welcoming, and a wonderful vibe in the morning. Both of the women who work there are amazing, compassionate to customers, and more patient than any other establishment I’ve been to! I’ve watched Anisa care about her community by donating her own money back to customers who are struggling.
It is a wonderful little business that gives me a ton of happiness each day. I can’t express how amazing the staff are, how meaningful of a little cultural hang-out it is for the neighbourhood, and most importantly, how fantastic the coffee and morning chit-chats are. It is truly a gem in an emerging neighbourhood. I couldn’t recommend it, as well as the baristas there, more highly.

I stopped in to get a coffee today and my card wouldn’t work which was completely my own fault, the lovely barista told me to take the coffee anyway and I had been having such a rough day up until this point that her kindness made me burst into tears which was pretty tragic😅 great coffee and great staff, there was also a cute dog in there and the whole experience really turned my day around! If someone sees this please buy a stranger a coffee today or tip your barista extra well 🫶
I love to come here, the vibes are perfect for focused work or a pick-me-up takeout cup on the way to something else. I was initially seduced by the latte, which was so creamy and less bitter than most coffee I encounter. After becoming a regular I started to really appreciate the culture of the place, how regulars recognize each other and check in with each other, and especially how efficient and considerate the barista Anisa is—what an amazing memory for people’s orders, and it feels so warm and personal to be remembered.

This is a great cafe with a cozy atmosphere, and absolutely amazing service. The barista is incredible and knows everyone's orders seemingly before they walk in the door. She is very kind and understanding, especially about the problems with the payment terminal (warning: the machine does not take credit cards).
The coffee will knock you back, especially if you like espressos or cortados, as it's quite strong. I suggest cutting it with milk in a latte or cappuccino.
It's a charming little place. My one gripe is that their almond croissants are unfortunately often sold out.

Never too busy to be able to read or work. Seems like there are steady regulars and it was easy to build rapport with the barista

As City Council debates a proposal to allow new retail and service businesses in the heart of Toronto’s neighbourhoods, we need to focus on how to support individual communities.
