Service was excellent. It was bit smaller than we hoped for, but quite neat place. Croissant looked awesome but unfortunately they were OK at best which is a big pity. They were too dry for our likings.

I stopped by on Saturday morning around 10:15, right after they opened, to grab a coffee and a croissant. Unfortunately, their croissant selection was slim at that hour. I was told they'd have more ready in about 15 minutes, so I went ahead and got my coffee first. No sugar, just sweetener (how a bakery doesn’t have sugar is beyond me), and no cinnamon either. The coffee was fine, though. About 20 minutes later, they had around four varieties of croissants available, so I asked if I could use their buy 5, get the 6th free deal. I was told I needed to sign up for some membership, which wasn’t even working at the time. Fine, whatever. I decided to order three croissants and eat one there with the rest of my coffee. But then they insisted on giving me the croissant in a paper bag—no plates for dine-in. I just left at that point. If you’re looking for a better spot, do yourself a favor and head over to Butter Baker across the street.
Edit:
Jan 31/2025 : Bought a black milk tea drink 7$ ++ taste like water.
nov/2023: I love the cod roe and salted egg croissant😍

The atmosphere is really nice. Beautiful decor and there are several tables. Though there's a loud sound of a fan in the background. They ran out of sparkling soda for the blue refresher so I ordered the lychee latte which was really good. Compared to other coffee shops, they took a bit longer to make our drinks which is fine because we weren't in a rush. However, they forgot to give our croissants until I reminded them. I was really excited to try their croissants but was really disappointed by how hard and stale the butter croissant tasted (especially considering the price is $5.20 for a medium sized croissant). The almond custard was a bit softer (but not fluffy). I will try coming back another time hopefully when they have more freshly made croissants.

I got chocolate crossaint. I thought it will be filled with chocolate, but only a trace of chocolate was there as kinda garnish! Also, I got latte, which was literally coffee + warm milk! Not the foamed milk at all! Very disappointing!
Honestly, it is not a 4.5 rated cafI!!

I order a croissant and latte for $13, croissant quality is not aligned with the photos, I was disappointed. The latte was significantly under extracted with just milk.
Better options with same price range in the neighbourhood.
The atmosphere was good though.

This Hazukido location is very small with barely any room to walk through. Few menu options. Ordered the lemon danish, which was extremely dry and not appetizing. Was considering to book a reservation for the afternoon tea set when I saw the promo on their Instagram page, but glad I didn't. Will not be returning. Much better food options nearby.

A couple of comments:
1) Please warn people that those tiny dots on the worn out menu at the counter stand for “iced only” or “hot/iced” drinks.
There’s no explanation anywhere so you have to figure out yourself whether your drink will come hot or cold.
2) Zesty lemon tea/assam black tea.
$6.45 & $5 teas for absolutely average teas. I asked whether those are certain tea brands, which explains the price tag.
The answer I got was those are imported but they dont know what brand is that.
Won’t be back for sure.

Just a warning to anyone ordering the vegetarian tea set that it comes with salmon and tuna.
Although the reservation form says no meat and seafood, when I arrived they said the vegetarian set contains fish.
So tasty, both drinks and food. The croissants have gotten smaller though

I assumed the matcha latte would be hot since the menu did not say iced and they did not ask me hot or iced. It came out iced which was not a big deal. However, it came in a paper cup for hot liquids with a weird flap that made it hard to drink. When I opened the lid to try and drink the last bit left, I saw that it was filled with 3/4 ice. The matcha was also grainy not smooth.
Lovely service and a great variety of croissants & drinks!

We had the high tea special. $20 per set. Well worth it. Came with two plates, one savory and one sweet. And pot of tea refillable once. Teas were quite light and mild and we waited for a long while before pouring. So perhaps not enough tea leaves in the pot. 2nd round water refill in pot was even lighter like drinking hot water. Pastries were nice. Although the crab topped one barely had crab. More like a few shreds. We saw them preparing 2nd round crab topped was 10x more crab topped. So not sure what happened? Ran out during our sitting and supplies were delivered in between? Anyways, perhaps they should substitute if not enough ingredients to make one specific kind? The whip cream on some of the sweet pastries was VERY good! We saw them filling the piping bags from a bin which appeared to have house made whip cream. Service was decent although they only had one server for all dine in tables seem to disappear at times long enough to notice a wait time for return to front when needed. Overall a pleasant experience and worth the $20 per set. Would I pay the regular $30? No but if was $25 I’d still say is worth it to try. More than likely would prefer to just order a drink and croissant or two instead.
