We wandered in because nobody felt like cooking. What a treat it turned out to be! Attentive service and a lovely, relaxed atmosphere. I really enjoyed my mocktail and veggie stew. And the spices! Interesting, complex flavours cooked to perfection. The desserts looked wonderful, but we were too full! We're going back.
When I first arrived, the waitress was very kind and welcoming — she was truly hospitable. I really love Persian food, and today I tried the kebab koobideh here. I was very satisfied with it!
It’s a great place for gatherings and parties — very suitable, with a beautiful atmosphere.
They had good, authentic Iranian tea.

I see this place all the time but have yet to try it until today. We got the beef/chicken platter for two. It was SO GOOD!!! The flavors, tenderness of the meat, the drinks, all fantastic. The service was great also. I will definitely be back! Also they have one table by the window where you can sit cross legged which is cool ☺️

Update: I still order from Herby whenever I am in the area. I ordered my regular order of Koobideh and accidentally selected a salad instead of my usual rice. I called to ask if I could come back and exchange for the rice or if I could put in an order for it. They told me to come back and they’d give it to me! I tried to tip them for being so kind but they wouldn’t let me! Such wonderful hospitality that I just had to update this review to say the service is just as wonderful as my first visit!
This was my first time trying Persian food and I’m really happy I chose to order from Herby! Service was nice and friendly. I ordered the koobideh. The portion were great and also glad their take out containers are not styrofoam. I will be definitely ordering again when I am in the area. Looking forward to trying more dishes!

This Persian restaurant has the best atmosphere I have ever experienced. It feels like attending a family party, and the food is awesome. This is definitely my go-to place if I'm in Toronto.

The food here was phenomenal. My family and I came here to celebrate my mother's birthday and we loved everything about this restaurant. The service was great and the chef came out to check on us and the other tables after we finished our food. We will definitely be coming back to this restaurant in the future.

This is the best food I have had in a long time, it was something new to me and I was really satisfied with everything. The portions are large, the restaurant is really nicely decorated, and the staff are all super friendly. Even the chef came out to ask how we were enjoying everything. I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu!

Delicious food and friendly service. Easily the best of the several Persian restaurants we've tried in Toronto. The owner is also the cook!

Eggplant dip (kashk bademjan) is amazing here - smoky eggplant, lovely mint oil, paired with warm bread. We also got the lamb skewer (lamb koobideh) with saffron rice. The spices in the lamb is so so delicious. The baghala polo & lamb shank dish was also amazing. The lamb shank is very tender and the rice was flavourful. The Persian baklava cake was a great way to end the meal with a nice cup of tea.
