That’s a cosy, quiet and nice place. Lovely decoration and clean restaurant. Wonderful food and great service. Very friendly and attentive staff . An amazing taste of Iranian cuisine. I ordered Koobideh plus Tava kebab. I would say the portions are generously big and I got myself stuffed. I would recommend everyone who’s fond of Persian cuisine.
Vegetarian options: They also have some dishes for vegetarians

We came on a Saturday around 7pm. Unfortunately there was only one person working this day (Saturday). Service was SUPER slow, didn’t get out of here till 2+ hours later. We waited over an hour for our drinks, appetizer and platter. Could be a one-off I’ll give the benefit of the doubt. Food had good flavour and taste, but portions were definitely not worth it for the price.

The stews are amazing and delicious. We ordered Fesenjan and Gheymeh Bademjan. They were very filling and tasty. I will visit again as soon as possible.

The portion size was small, the quality was terrible, and we paid $100 for a Kashk Bademjan and a Gheimeh stew, which were absolutely not worth the price. The food was served cold, and when we mentioned it, they replaced it.

The restaurant staff treated us well. The restaurant was clean and comfortable. The food was fresh and flavourful.
Lamb is their specialty and as a table, we enjoyed the stew, the kebab and the shank. The dolma sprinkled with pomegranate was delightful. The Ceylon tea was served in traditional tea pots.
I will definitely be returning to try more.

Married to a Persian woman, ive had the privilege of trying a lot of the Persian restaurants in the GTA. This one is the best.
The Koobideh Kebab (beef) is succulent and buttery. The rice, sabzeh, grilled tomatoes, and onions are all perfectly executed. But the thing that stands out here is the quality of the stews.
There is a saying that Gormeh Sabzi is the litmus test for a Persian cook. Herby's version of it is my absolute favorite. It's packed with legumes and beef - it's hearty and feels like home. I have NEVER liked Fesenjoon, but Herby's version of it is addictive, sweet-sour, and absolutely decadent.
Finally, the saffron and pistachio ice cream is crusted with real cream bits, and the chai is fragrant.
The team work hard to serve you - they're energetic and detail-oriented.
Had a blast, will come back with more people!

We visited Herby for the first time on Family Day, as its location was convenient for our guests. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a disappointing experience. We ordered two platters, and the food quality was mediocre. None of the stews were freshly made or even served hot. The rice was lukewarm and of low quality, and the presentation was unappealing. The so-called Persian baklava cake was neither Persian nor baklava; it was a dry, uninspired creation. On top of that, the prices were steep for such low-quality food. The If you're unfamiliar with Persian cuisine, you might find it passable, but I strongly recommend exploring other excellent Iranian restaurants in Toronto for a much better dining experience.
