A little gem of a bakery with sweet and warm treats. I tried their filled pancakes and walnut shaped treats. Made fresh throughout the day, they are perfect for snacks or a breakfast. Reminds me of my childhood, when my grandmother made something similar. Whatever you order here will taste great!

We got the walnut cake with red bean filling and the korean pancake (hotteok) with red bean filling as well. the pancake tasted good because it was freshly cooked but the walnut cake was not. It would have been better if it was at least warm.

Hodo Kwaja is such a cozy and welcoming little spot! The shop feels super clean and has a warm, homey vibe that makes you want to stay a while. I tried the red bean sherbet — so refreshing and just the right amount of sweetness. I also couldn’t resist the walnut cakes, and wow — they were freshly made, warm, and full of flavor. You can really taste the care they put into their food. A perfect little place for a sweet treat!

Very nice and kind. Explained all option. Pancake is PIPING hot fresh off the grill and is very good. I thought the brown sugar tasted better than the red bean but the red bean was still really good. Great refreshing treat/snack while walking.

Tried several Korean desert places in the city- and this is my favourite. Bingsu and walnut cake is what they’re supposed to be, and the people working here are really the best. You can feel that they’ve dedicated their time to run this place. Love it.

Best spot for a Korean pancake with red bean. The staff are always welcoming and helpful. Heads up, they’re on vacation from July 13-17!!!

Great walnut cakes, came here from Guelph for my birthday and they did what they always do; gave great food, great service and were very professional and pleasant. It was a nice quick transaction and I got nice warm red bean walnut cakes out of it!

If you’re hanging around Korea town and you haven’t tried Hodo Kwaja, you’re doing it wrong. All their pastries are smash with their pricing as a bonus. There’s often a line at this place but it’s worth it. The owner is lovely as well.
