I can’t believe I’ve been missing out on this gem! Visited for the first time and tried the Korean pancakes with brown sugar filling—absolutely recommend, they’re delightfully indulgent (slightly chewy with warm gooey centre). I also couldn’t resist the walnut cakes and tried all three flavours; all freshly made and delicious. Beyond the treats, the service was warm and welcoming. Can’t wait to try the other menu items next time.
Dietary restrictions: They had signage calling out allergens (dairy, nuts, gluten) and the server also emphasized it at checkout, which I thought was very thorough of them.

Life changing brown sugar pancakes. Heads up they’ll explode if you put a little pressure on them, and ruin your shirt and pants with molten sugar. So grab extra napkins

Our go to place for some AWESOME Hodo-gwaja (Korean walnut cakes) and Hotteok (Korean sweet pancake with brown sugar and peanut filling) when in downtown Toronto.
You can’t go wrong when these two classic Korean desserts are made at Hodo Kwaja. A must try :)
For the Hotteok, I wish there was an option to have a more generous amount of brown sugar and peanut filling. Current Hotteok has an okay amount of brown sugar and peanut filling but having a bit more would be awesome :)

Oh my god these are the best desserts ever ever!!! Hotteoks have a perfect crisp on the outside and soft and flavorful on the inside. I savoured each bite and honestly was sad I didn’t have more. The owner was also incredibly sweet and so friendly! It’s clear how hard she works and really wants her customers to enjoy her baked goods. Cant wait to come back for more!!
