The meal was excellent with one comment- the introductory bread was cold (not warm?) which would have enhanced the honeyed butter. Ambience was great until towards the end a table of five lively diners made it difficult for us to talk to each other. Always a great place to have lunch when we are in town.
i was happy with my Avocado Toast with Soft-boiled Egg. it was beautifully prepared and garnished. I might have enjoyed a touch more salt and there wasn't any on the table but i could have asked. The service was attentive but not intrusive. The Lavazza cappuccino was perfect. The value was very good for the food and the whole experience.
Not bad, but not great. The café has a nice vibe and looks very aesthetically pleasing. We came here after lunch and ordered drinks and dessert, but unfortunately both were disappointing. I can’t comment on the food since we didn’t try it, so this may have just been an issue with our specific drinks and ice cream.
On the positive side, the waiters were friendly, the furniture and interior design look great, and the view is very nice. Overall, the experience was average, but I’m willing to come back and try other drinks and desserts next time.

The vibe is okay, I guess because it’s holt Renfrew. The food is rlly mid, but it’s a high tea so don’t expect much. I like the salmon, sandwich and scone. But the sweet items are too sweet!!! So come for the vibe and bring a good frd to chill and talk, but don’t put high expectations on the whole experience. Reservation needed.

My friend and I went for the Diptyque afternoon tea for her birthday. The savory items were definitely pre-made and refridgerated cuz it was cold. The scones were room temperature and dry. Overall the quality of the food was disappointing. Service slow. We had to ask for items multiple times and they didn't offer my friend anything extra for her birthday.
The food isn't worth the price

A favourite stop on a day of shopping. Beautiful interior. In the last year the food quality has declined. Popular dishes have been eliminated and altered. New dishes are poor in quality. The Panko crusted Cod was a frozen fish filet with a thick battered breaded coating. Simply awful. Very expensive for low quality dish. I will not be returning any time soon.
Service in the restaurant remains top notch.

Reservations don't matter at this place, we had a reservation and was told we had to wait a long time due to people who are walking in waiting for a table. A reservation becomes meaningless at that point. Wouldn't recommend this place, went to Eataly across the street and was treated much better.

Lovely lunch during the busy holiday shopping season. The Chicken BLT salad is fabulous and a very generous size. My husband had the fried cod sandwich on a brioche bun with salad, also delicious. Avoid the tuna poke bowl as it's albacore and not ahi tuna and was fishy tasting on our last visit. Recommended spot!
The service was super quick, the food was great, and there was a nice mix of sweet and savory stuff to pick from. The only thing I didn’t love was the goat cheese truffle pastry because it was really rich and strong, definitely not for everyone. Overall though, it was filling and a really lovely spot for afternoon tea.

Food was average. We were told upon arrival (not ahead of time) that we needed to leave by 3 pm. This was our annual family lunch and we were rushed out the door. Very very disappointing. Expected more class from Holt Renfrew.
The quality of the food served for the afternoon tea was horrid. Definitely not worth the price. Also, the server almost touched our food on several occasions while trying to “ point” to the different menu items in an attempt to explain to us what was being served. Overall, I wish he just hadn't even done it. Service was also very slow, and it was extremely loud in there to the point where I had to yell to be able to have a conversation with my mother sitting across the table for me.
Usually love everything I order here, but this time it was really disappointing. The side chicken was barely cooked and extremely bland.
