Excellent food and service

Went by myself for lunch early Sunday at 1130 and easy to walk in. The variety of oysters were nice. The fish patty breakfast burger was great. Good texture and well cooked. Good size for a lunch. The price is amazing. Hope to go back with others so I can try many things.

Absolutely fantastic spot! The Rockfish sandwich was incredibly fresh and flavourful. Easily one of the best I’ve ever had. But the real surprise was the coleslaw as it completely stole the show with its perfect balance of tang and crunch. The staff were warm and welcoming, even bringing out a high chair, crayons, and paper to keep our daughter entertained. Service was truly second to none, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. A hidden gem we’ll definitely be returning to!

I had great oysters and the delicious clam chowder on a rainy day. I recommend!

Really enjoyed my meal here with friends. We ordered many several items including the chowder, smoked fish paté, crab cakes, honest burger, fish burger, okonomiyaki, and the mini chocolate mousse. While I found the food to be a little heavy with the salt, I had a great overall experience here and would happily return. The variety of seafood here was lovely. My top picks are the chowder and paté!

The dining space is a bit small, so it definitely doesn't hurt to call for a reservation.

The food is excellent. The flavours and textures were fantastic. Loved the wine selection (focused on Spain). You will have to be willing to wait and wait and wait for very unfriendly and mediocre service. The staff seemed overwhelmed and stressed. You will get your wine long time after you have ordered it and then you will have an opportunity to finish it before your meal arrives. If you are willing to be underwhelmed by service and have a lot of time to wait, then the food is worth it

The Japanese pancake was a flavor bomb!! Must visit for that dish! Also tried 3 different varieties of Oysters. They were so fresh and good! Will be definitely going back!

What a great restaurant! Not only were the dishes I had absolutely delicious, the staff were also absolutely so friendly and professional.

I had the Tuna Tartare, the seared scallops, and a salmon belly tostada.

The fish and scallops were fresh and tasted fantastic. The ambiance was great, and it was clear there were plenty of regulars who keep coming back.

Staff were ready with recommendations and were happy to answer questions.

I can’t wait to go back!

So many good restaurants in Toronto. This is one of the best. It's not fancy, but the food is amazing. We had arctic char, but the rating for a seafood restaurant gets over the top with the dessert cheesecake with homemade chocolate. Make sure you make a reservation

I wish I had gotten photos of our meal but everyone was so excited to get their food we dug in before we got the chance. The fish was so fresh, the menu is somewhat small, which is good, because you can trust they do everything wonderfully with more attention to each dish. The staff were so attentive and friendly. The ambiance is quaint and warm with the sounds of traditional East Coast Canadian music playing all night. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a good seafood restaurant or just a nice evening out in Toronto!

Honest Weight is a hidden gem for seafood lovers. The dishes are fresh, simple, and full of flavor, with standout oysters and crudo. The cozy vibe and friendly, knowledgeable staff make the experience even better.

What a perfect meal for seafood lovers!! Absolutely fabulous dishes each with so much personality and succulence. We two shared the chilli shrimp, scallops with a pour over broth, we split the Honest Burger with cod and shrimp patty (which did come out a tad sweet). All were amazing. We tried the Basque cheesecake and tiny chocolate pudding for dessert.

Our friends loved their pick your fish wild caught cod and seared salmon. Everyone was gushing about how good everything was.

Well done team! Perfect date night as a twosome or double date.

If you're a foodie, avoid this place. Very disappointing. Was looking forward to going as it was on the must try list for several years. Firstly we liked the background music however while they had heater fans, my feet were freezing. We ordered the recommended chowder. The broth had very little flavour and tasted like heated cream from the carton. Shocking, really. Unfortunately, everything else we ordered didn't raise the bar. Couldn't bring myself to eat the cold fish sandwich and send it back. While the waitress asked us to order something else, by that time, we lost faith and simply wanted to leave. Found the waitress response snotty when we politely declined. She still charged us full price for food we hardly ate. We paid and left.
