No A/C running... bit obvious that if you own a restaurant and you're open during summer you should have a/c... ahhh but its broken... rent one... food was ok, service mediocre at best...
Went to Hothouse on Father's day for dinner. Crew was very warm welcomung, always smiling! Our server was very helpful. Food was great exvept for the coleslaw, it tasted spoiled, it wasn't even cold. We ordered hot latte and hot cappucino to go with our desserts, our coffees came cold🙄
Our server was kind enough to have it replaced.
Lively experience
Wanted to have an early dinner but we were unfortunately quite disappointed. It took over 50 min for a kids meal and an appetizer to come (and it wasn’t that busy). And when those two items arrived it was a huge disappointment. Appetizer was not edible (bruschetta was so soggy and overly greasy) and even the kids meal fries were so overly salty and not hot. Due to the wait, we attempted to locate the server a couple of times. Our Server was hard to find and we had to track her down a few times just to inquire the status of the meal. While she was pleasant, the overall service was extremely slow. Since the wait was so long while waiting for an appetizer, we had subsequently requested the full meal come together as it had been over an hour by that time. Dinner meals never came and by the time a replacement appetizer was brought out we opted to leave. I appreciate the manager (when he finally arrived) offering a gift card for the inconvenience, however, we politely declined as we have no intention of coming back. Even the offer of free food wasn’t enticing. It’s unfortunate as there is so much potential; it’s a great location, has a good variety of items on the menu, but quality and service were subpar. Poor experience as we left hungry due to poor food quality and waiting that long. Thank you though for trying to offer some compensation.
Solid brunch spot! I loved the shakshuka
Great vibe, very polite staff and amazing food. Great spot for hanging out with your gang or teammates.

Beautiful restaurant in a beautiful location. The fancy accompliaments could be dialed down a little bit. The pork tenderloin was perfectly cooked. Was there as part of a group tour with CAA Niagara's Journey's team and the menu provided had some choice but could be a better amount of options.

Hot House Restaurant in the St.Lawrence Market stands out as one of Toronto's most popular dining spots, renowned for its exceptional food, vibrant and spacious ambiance, and impeccable service. The menu is a delightful mix of international flavors, featuring gourmet pizzas, succulent steaks, pasta dishes, seasonal salads, and decadent desserts. The extensive vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free options cater to diverse dietary needs, making it a top choice for all diners. The Frutti Di Mare, Sunday brunch buffet, and expertly crafted ribs are notable recomendations. My favourite as a vegetarian is their Winterlicous menu of imaginative dishes as pictured from the last one, of Tuscany Farro Soup, Vegetable Kebabs and Cardamom Olive Cake. I'm looking forward to the next.
The ambiance is equally impressive, with spacious, colorfully decorated interiors and a sunlit 150-seat patio perfect for enjoying fine Italian wines or Canadian craft beers. Whether it’s a heatwave or a chilly evening, the restaurant provides a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.
Attentive and friedly staff go the extra mile to accommodate guests, including handling dietary restrictions with care.
Located in the heart of Toronto at 35 Church Street at Front, Hot House is steps away from local landmarks like St. Lawrence Market. With street and nearby parking available, it’s a convenient and memorable spot for any occasion, which I recommend.
