A delicious and imaginative interpretation of the cuisine I knew as a kid, plus some new dishes. Generous portions just as Baba would have made them. Get some borsch and go from there. We will definitely be back!
Great food, drinks and great staff. The staff was very helpful with recommending items from the menu.
We had a wonderful birthday brunch at Hoyra and would go back in a heartbeat. Delicious Ukrainian food and exceptional service. Perfect addition to the neighbourhood.
Hoyra is such a great place to eat! The food tastes fresh, the portions are generous, and everything comes out nicely prepared. The staff is friendly and quick, and the whole place has a cozy, relaxing vibe. It's the kind of restaurant you go to once and immediately want to come back. Definitely one of my favorite spots!
Great restaurant overall, we enjoyed the service and the food was excellent, delicious dishes! The ambiance is great, very comfortable setup, we didn't want to leave.
Wonderful place to meet up with friends for lunch or dinner. We shared a most deliciously dressed Ukrainian house salad and a khachapuri. It was my first time trying the khachapuri, and it was outstanding. Great service, beautiful seasonal decor. The owner came by to say hello which was a very nice surprise. I'd recommend it in a heartbeat.
Celebrated a birthday at Hoyra. Reservation was for 615 pm and the restaurant was packed. Many hard surfaces so it was a bit louder than a previous visit which was lunch on a weekday. Once again, the food was delicious -- starters included a tasty mixed greens with sunflower seeds salad and borscht with sour cream and tasty garlic butter-topped buns. We shared mains: absolutely delicious and light millet and mushroom cabbage roll, chicken pelmeny (wee varenyky) with sour cream, and fluffy potato pancakes topped with mushrooms and cream sauce. Ended the meal with layered honey cake (medivnyk). The staff, including our server, Ana(stasia), were wonderfully attentive. We'll be back! Maybe this time for a weekend brunch (11 to 3, I believe). So glad Hoyra is here. And it's steps from Dundas West subway station so getting there by public transit is a breeze! Dyakuyu!
Had a great brunch at Hoyra. Food and coffee were amazing. Came back for dinner and honestly was slightly disappointed. Cheburek was tiny and overfried, half empty inside. Pretty much the same with khinkaly. Schnitzel was good, as well as khachapuri, but a bit weird that there's no sides for schnitzel. I want to return for brunch but unfortunately not for dinner. 5 stars - it's for brunch and I hope that I will be able to enjoy evening at the same level one day.

We had our wedding lunch here recently and it was absolutely perfect! The atmosphere is lavish and unforgettable, the service is top notch and the open kitchen near the back with a large stone oven really completes the intimate yet professional experience we had.

We visited this Ukrainian restaurant yesterday, and it was such a lovely experience! The food was absolutely delicious — we had salmon, schnitzel, and a wonderful cake called “Honey cake ,” which was simply amazing. We also tried the Espresso Martini, and it was perfectly balanced.
The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff were very kind and attentive. There was a small detail that could be improved, but I’m sure they’ll work on it — everything else was really great.
It’s wonderful to see a Ukrainian restaurant offering such high-quality food and warm hospitality. We’ll definitely be back and will recommend it to our friends! 🇺🇦💛
