I have been to many Vietnamese restaurants in Toronto and this one is the worst that I've experienced.
- As soon as I entered Huong Viet, a strong and unpleasant washroom smell hit me. I should've known that was a bad sign and left right away.
- I ordered pho with rare beef and when the server brought it out to me, the beef was well done. The noodles were extremely soggy and overcooked. Overall the pho tasted like leftovers, definitely not freshly made.
- My friend ordered grilled chicken with rice and the chicken was very overcooked and dry.
- The restaurant was not well maintained. There were spiderwebs on the chairs across from me and my bowl had a big chip on the rim. The menus were inconsistent; the pho on my menu was priced at $14 and the exact same pho on a different menu was priced at $7 (I was charged the higher price when I ordered it).
tldr; I will not come back here because the food tasted bad, was not cooked properly, and the restaurant was dirty. If you are looking for Vietnamese cuisine, I highly recommend you go elsewhere; there are many other Vietnamese restaurants in Toronto that are much better than Huong Viet.

Happily stumbled upon this restaurant. They have 2 doors you have to go through and with my mom being on a wheelchair, one of the owners quickly came to assist!
The service was quick, I got the Bun Bo Hue, my mom got one of the Com Tams (Broken rice) and my bf got pho.
The Bun Bo Hue here was phenomenal. Although on the oilier side, it was a perfect balance of sweet, spicy and savoury. I would definitely come back just for that dish.
My mom said the com tam was good, chicken was well-seasoned and not dry.
I tried some of the pho broth and it was good! I wasn’t a huge fan of the type of pho noodle that they used though.
One thing that this pho restaurant does differently is put Pandan Leaves in their hot tea. It was soooo good. Definitely get the hot tea when you come here!

We have been coming to this restaurant regularly since 2019 and it is definitely my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Toronto! The food is prepared with care and with fresh ingredients. The owners are lovely and keep the restaurant very clean.

We were here as a group of 22 people. All of us were satisfied with the traditional Vietnamese cooking. We had to ca kho(with bacon) and canh chua.

Huòng viêt @1750 saint Clair AVE . Corner of old Weston road. I have stumbled on this charming little Vietnamese?? restaurant, I tried the fried ? fish soup ?? it's was good ? service here was also very good here, I was recommended alternative dish for kids to try since this isn't a place most little ones will find something they'd like ?. very friendly staff and owner family owned restaurant?
Parking: I parked at the front of the restaurant on the street since it was very late I had parking .

Small options for the price. Ordered a large pho and shared some fresh rolls. Was still hungry afterwards. Won’t be going back again.

Crab meat came with the plastic wrap (it was in the broth like this)... Ban xeo barely had anything inside, as shown in photo.

Check out @bredgyeats for more delicious food pics!Bun Cha Ca - The fried dill fish cakes are the star of the show in this one. A savory, oily fragrance paired with the bounciness of the fish paste, with the freshness of the dill alone makes the dish worth it.The pho is also no slouch either as the broth perfumes with a beefy aroma and a classic rice noodle texture.
So yummy ? would definitely recommend the pho bowls. Service was excellent & fast.

I enjoyed the pho here, the broth was very nice and they had some of the tastier beef balls and also their rare beef and beef brisket in the dish, were better than average. I was back the next day and it was consistent. I'll be back again and I'd recommend them to others also.
