We decided to try this spot Sunday evening and were pleasantly surprised by how great it was! Very welcoming atmosphere as soon as you walk in and our waitress was very sweet and accommodating to us. The chef came out to greet everyone as well! We ordered the sushi and sashimi dinner and our friends ordered various rolls. The quality of the food was so fresh and delicious. I usually am very picky with sashimi and the freshness of the sashimi here was amazing. Definitely recommend this spot for kind service and tasty sushi!!!

Ichiban Sushi is hands down one of our favorite spots! The food is always fresh, absolutely delicious, and very well priced. Whether it's sushi, sashimi, or their other dishes, everything is prepared to perfection. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making every visit a pleasant experience. We come here often and are never disappointed. Highly recommend for anyone who loves great sushi in a comfortable atmosphere!

Great food, very quick right before my meeting. Service was super friendly and the atmosphere was nice. Very clean place. It was raining heavy a few weeks ago when I was here during that crazy torrential storm that swept through Toronto, the owner and her employee were kind enough to allow me to use an umbrella and when I returned it, they walked me to my car so I wouldn’t get soaked. Very nice people, I’ll definitely try again when driving by in need of a quick lunch or dinner. Thank you
Ever since Aki Da closed years ago I've been hoping for a friendly sushi restaurant to open in the hood that would satisfy my sushi, sashimi cravings.
The food at Ichiban is fantastic. But the staff are terrific and the waitress is so friendly and warm (I think of her as my auntie!)
Definitely worth a visit and a worthy successor to Aki Da.

Amazing sushi place in the beaches. It’s a bit away from the main block with restaurants but please walk extra 200 meters to get the best sushi and service in the area. Super fresh fish and this place is spotless. It’s also very cozy inside, I highly recommend it!
