Excellent innovative and delicious food. Loved it, highly recommend. The tikki chaat and malpua dessert was amazing. The jaljeera quencher was amazing too.

Ordered the chicken curry and biryani. Flavours in both were pretty bland.

It was good but don't say your meal comes with 2 naans when its just one cut in half, so people can know and order more accordingly
Kinda messed up my lucnh(takeout)
This place is amazing! The chicken changezi is a must-try – super tasty and goes so well with rumali roti and thecha roti. The paneer was really soft and delicious too. Overall, I’d definitely recommend this spot – one of the best Indian restaurants in Toronto!

One of the best Indian food I ever had and I did lived in Dubai and London. The owner and the staff were very friendly. The quality and presentation of the food were great. Definitely recommend it and we will make it a point to always swing by when we come to Toronto

2 year update Sep 2025: After my initial review I returned a few times and confirm they remain consistently great. Such delicious, quality North Indian. The baingan has a char flavour, the anardana paneer is deliciously minty, channa is Punjabi style with big chickpeas, biryani and naan excellent. 10/10. Please never change.

I am Indian and this place is amazing. All of the vegetarian dishes were excellent and would order again. Most indian restaurants downtown are mediocre but Indian Desire is truly excellent. Will happily come back. The only dish I would not order again is the gulab jaman — it was somewhat bland. Everything else was 10/10. Kudos to the owners and chef, please maintain the quality and never take shortcuts! And we will be regular customers for life!

We wanted to try this place to switch it up from our typical Indian spot. We enjoyed our experience and the food was quite good, but I don’t think we will return. The food was a bit overpriced and the service was only ok. I think they may be going for a bit more of an upscale vibe than some other neighbourhood joints, but I feel the service needs to be greatly improved to justify the higher prices.

I would say overall this was good. The food and service were good. However I do feel their prices were a bit high and did also feel pressured into getting more. For 2 entrees, rice, 2 naan, and an appetizer it came to $100 after tax and tip. That's a lot for 2 people to dine out. So, because the taste didn't blow my socks off and because I felt as though the price was a bit high I'm giving it 4/5. To be 5/5 they would have had to be either less expensive or more tasty.
