I had a really bad experience at this restaurant. The lady working there was manipulative and overcharged me for the drinks. I ended up paying $22 for just two sugarcane juices. On top of that, the drinks were nothing special. I honestly regret going there.

Hanssolo50!

The best tasting sugarcane juice in all of Toronto. Order delivery with both SkipTheDishes and Doordash. Highly recommended visiting the location!

Worst and expensive golgappa. Paid $15 (with tax) for just 6 pani puris (gol gappey).

I would like to give zero rating because of the experience I had today. When my husband enquires about the prices of sugarcane and mango juice the old lady at the counter (Indian Rasoi) told it was $6 each. He agreed and asked for two. However, we were shocked when we got charged $23 including tax. then lady told that each juice was $10 because it was a “big size” – which we never asked for.

When my husband said I had ordered the small size, she responded with a heavy voice saying, “You did not.” Another customer also mentioned that they had ordered a small size but were given a medium one and charged more for it. This seems to be a pattern.

The mango juice was especially disappointing – it tasted like it was made with just one piece of mango diluted with water. I literally found it nasty, and we ended up throwing it away. Sugarcane juice is also below average. We wasted our money and felt completely cheated.

Very disappointing experience. Never visiting again.

This place the food is bad also they charged me more than what was mentioned in the menu when I asked her she said that the menu is old and they need to update the menu and this is the new price but was no where mentioned in the menu and the dahi puri was terrible very unhygienic place disgusting.

First experience exploring Little India, was deceived being welcomed to terrible food and wrong money spending. The pani puri was the same as DIY pani puri that you can buy at any Indian store.

Worst chola Bhature served in Missusaga food festival. She didn’t tell price and tapped the money . 18$ for frozen poori and rotten chole . Don’t recommend this for anyone.

Absolute worst experience! Go anywhere else, don’t go here! The owners were not transparent about pricing and when we asked, the lady started screaming in front of my 2 year old. It was embarrassing and scary. We felt trapped to pay. We paid but did not get the ?. They kept it and continued to scream and talking amongst their family members who were sitting around a table eating their lunch like they’re at home. Very very strange place. They’re charging carnival price. It’s ridiculous. They’re not a kid friendly place. They kept a pony there but we had to take our son and run out of there. It was not about the $$, it was about transparency and respect.

I ordered the chole bature and chicken momo. The chole bature was too salty and the taste was third class. And the chicken momo was tasteless.

Poor service at CNE 2024. Disgusting ? food. Dumplings in butter sauce were yuck!
And their chai (tea) was cold and was bitter in taste at CNE 2024. I visited with my family. They are ridiculously expensive for bad food. Zero stars for them. And the lady at the counter was so rude.
I would never recommend anyone to get food from here.

I stopped by Indian Rasoi’s truck at the CNE and was so disappointed. The service was not great and it took quite a while to get my food. There was no communication and I was the only customer. I had some of the driest chicken I’ve tasted in my life. I’m tempted to go back tomorrow and ask for a refund. I spent $20 just to have 2 bites and decide I couldn’t eat anymore. So disappointed because I was very excited to try this.

Below average food, expensive, and very rude owner. They were vacuuming and carrying large buckets of water from the kitchen to clean up the front of the store while we were eating.
Also watch for their scams, they charged us gratuity without even telling us! Seriously!

EDIT (After reading auntie’s comment):
??? priceless, auntie you’re as salty as your food hahaha

Second edit: auntie has removed her response to my review, so I’m sharing the screenshot.

Pathetic service and food.

Had the misfortune of trying worlds most pathetic and disgusting chilli paneer noodles at Indian rasoi’s food truck at CNE today. I literally puked after eating the first bite.

As mentioned on countless other 1 star reviews for this restaurant, the owner is rude, and pushy. While I was looking at the menu and trying to decide whether I even want to eat at this food truck, the owner aunty literally scolded me into placing my order.

What I got was a blotch on the name of chilli paneer noodles. It was some cheap copy of Maggi , boiled in turmeric, and served with raw paneer and a sweet butter chicken sauce. Get that. This is the owner’s idea of chilli paneer noodles”. I the portion was way too small for a single person( not that I’m bothered, because I threw away the whole meal).

I felt like I had ordered food from a restaurant from gordan ramsays show.

Would not recommend at all. Please read all other 1 star reviews before you even think of ordering from/eating at “Indian rasoi”. There’s nothing “indian” about this food.
