History about Babi Kecap:
Babi Kecap is an Indonesian braised pork with sweet soy sauce (kecap manis). It is a Chinese Indonesian classic, due to its simplicity and popularity among Chinese Indonesian and non-muslim households. In the Netherlands, the dish might also be served within an opulent rijsttafel banquet. In Bali, this dish is consumed at festivals such as Galungan and Nyepi.
The dish is believed to be based on Southern Chinese braised pork in soy sauce. However, it is more Indonesian in nature, because of the mild sweetness introduced by Indonesian kecap manis (sweet soy sauce).

When I found out about Indonesian’s Flavour I was a bit hesitant but I tried their food and was surprised and happy that I did not have to travel far such as to Mississauga or Toronto to eat satay , nasi goreng or rendang , etc . It is all in the Hammer /Farmer’s market . Hamilton is lucky to have Indonesian cuisine , which can come to you mild or really spicy . …You just have to ask . Now if we can only ask them to get a bigger restaurant with lots of chairs and tables...

Been here twice, ssoooo so good. Great amount of food for the price, genuinely impressive food quality and taste for being a lil place in the Farmers Market. I will go here for a meal any time I can now.

All I can say is that the food here is as good as it looks. It’s also filling without feeling heavy. This little gem is in the market building and is on the bottom floor. Great place to stop in for lunch. I also like that they had a seating area so that you can relax and just eat and enjoy. The people who served us were very friendly and accommodating.
