Had French onion soup and jerk chicken. Soup was good - a classic French onion soup. No complaints. Chicken interpretations was a bit different from the classic Jamaican version, but still very tasty.
Although the place was pretty busy, service was excellent.
Overall great food and the atmosphere. Live DJ helped as well.

First time at Irene's. Beautiful location and patio right on the water. The service was very good. Love that they have a dog friendly patio. Had the fish and chips and it was ok. The batter wasn't great, and my fish was overcooked. It was overly salty as well. Tartar sauce was very plain. Could have used more tang. The menu was a bit confusing. The website didn't specify that some items on the menu online are not available until 3 pm. Two of us wanted tacos per the online menu but were told it wasn't possible. All-in-all we had a nice time. Would come back.

Food was good but the service was terrible. I think they forgot about us despite being in the middle of the restaurant. It wasn’t very busy. Waiter introduced himself and never came back. Bartender saw us looking around and came to take our order. Food came out and that was the last anyone came to see us. Won’t be back.

The waitresses repeatedly interrupted our conversation to ask us to hand them used plates instead of collecting them themselves—even cutting off my friend mid-sentence. 😠 The food was just okay; the taste and quality were average, and the lettuce in the salad was not fresh. The highlight of the visit was simply enjoying our company and the stunning view of the lake, which was truly beautiful.
