Me and my family visited the Toronto Islands yesterday and we stopped at the Island Cafe for a quick bite to eat and some drinks - totally not expecting the exceptional quality of food and even better service (shout out to sandwich and ice cream stand manager MIA!!!)!!! I especially recommend the Ham and Brie sandwich: crispy and fluffy baguette bread and a butter and Brie cheese combo that made me want to order a second sandwich!!! I will most definitely be going back to try the ice cream and other menu offerings at the Island Cafe. Thanks so much, Mia, for making a Thanksgiving memory EXTRAORDINARY!

Very cute Café with friendly staff working there. We had a soup and blueberry crumble, both amazing. Coffee was also really good.

Not really packed but the server says kitchen is in the weeds if we wanted takeout it will be an hr wait Wow! Rip off prices from the booth for sandwiches. $15 for a foot long and $4 a muffin. But it's expected lol. Buy a pizza mainland and bring it over.

What a cute little spot with very cozy and soft pastel vibes! I got the breakfast sandwich, which was tasty, but maybe a little expensive for the size. I guess that's an Islands issue moreso than the venue's. The service was very friendly and pretty quick. Also, very clean washrooms!

One awesome lady work at the cafe were so funny regardless of the line up she never lost her composure and able to give anyone a great accomodation. .
Her expertise?
Wittingly funny!
One thing I truly regret was, did not ask her name.
One of most valuable worker among Island Cafe Staff.

Just a few steps away from the Ward's Island Ferry Dock is the Island Cafe.

Mostly patio seating which is great. Staff are friendly and good service but be prepared it does get busy on certain times. Food was fantastic I got the Pan Fried Fish which I'd recommend.

Pass on this place. Extremely small portions and the ice cream was probably Breyers frozen dessert.

Coolest experience of set up like farm to table but the restaurant is next to a chich farming project to support the initiative by thr city. The food here itself was excellent. The nachos were made with beans and pickled onions which gave them a unique flavor. I loved the drunken mussels and the shrimp. The vibe was nice, they had some clean washrooms and hand washing stations. Sitting here felt like total little island vibes. Surrounded by great views and tons of walking and activities. Convenient and fun stop. The afagatos were tasty! Our server was nice and friendly.

Really happy to see the Island Cafe up and running after the fire last year. Went to the new place for my birthday during the summer -- vibes are great as per the usual. Our server, Gabe, was the best. Good vegetarian options and seafood for those that enjoy.

2 years since the fire now, and I'm really liking the Island Cafe in it's current form! Tasty tacos that come out quick, good drinks with a good happy hour. Then you can get tea/coffee and ice cream to-go at the counter. They also still sell hot dogs at the counter which is great for a good on-the-go snack or the inevitable about-to-miss-the-ferry-and-starving meal. There are often concerts and local events put on by the Ward's island association. I visit off peak hours. Would be very busy summer weekends.

Chicken leg was flavourful and so was the rice. Kale salad was nice, and I don’t even normally like kale!

honestly really disappointed, this place has changed a lot since I was here a few years ago. prices have increased a lot, and food quality has gone way down. what we ordered was cold and not very flavourful (the cheese on the nachos was hardly even warm, let alone melted) and very expsensive for what we were given. $21 for a pre-assembled BLT is not it. our server was quite nice, but I definitely think they needed one more for how busy it was.

When asked about adding something to the $21 (!!) BLT sandwich we were informed that they came pre-assembled so no modifications could be made… the $18 (!) tacos and $20 plate of nachos we ended up ordering both arrived at the table cold, with a lot of the cheese on the nachos not even melted. The soft drinks were also extremely watery, and the “sparkling raspberry lemon soda” on the menu came out of a can. For these prices you would hope the food was prepared fresh and actually hot when it reaches your table :(
