This place was delicious. Everything was good, the oysters were fresh. My personal favourites were the tuna tartare and the prawn rolls.

My first order of oysters to pick up/enjoy at home. I was not disappointed. The presentation was perfect and quality of the oysters, second to none. Thank you Island Oysters. This was my first order, but not my last.

I landed on an island of oysters at Island Oysters to try some of the freshest oysters that I absolutely devoured on top of well-executed seafood dishes. The eye candy of the night was the glistening tuna tataki, where albacore tuna is lightly kissed with a flame to bring out a subtle savory and sweetness, to be paired with a rich red miso sauce for a burst of umami and contrasted with a crisp mini cucumber salad. In a close second place, the Humboldt squid is anything but humble. No hesitation whatsoever in showcasing its sweet seafood umami with a ridiculously tender texture. It's complemented with a sweet prawn bouillabase sauce, crunchy strips of gai lan, seared fingerling potatoes, and a dusting of brioche breadcrumbs on top. The cod cakes were surprisingly delicious, as the tender cod flesh is contrasted with a crispy breadcrumb coating, with an addictively creamy tartar sauce. With expectations against lobster rolls, prawns are an excellent substitution, especially when they're crisp, bouncy and mixed with an addictive lemon mayo that adds a creamy tanginess, crisp celery and lettuce, and a buttery brioche bun akin to biting down on a cloud.

We were here yesterday to celebrate my best friends birthday and we really enjoyed our time there. We got oysters to share and our server had good amount of knowledge about them and he explained everything clearly.

We only got to try tuna tartare and the bread & butter, amazing sourdough we both loved it and ordered second round. We will be back again!

Island Oysters is an absolute gem. The oysters are outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and very well priced. The drink selection is excellent and pairs perfectly with the menu.

A special shout-out to our server Sean, who was incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely passionate. He took the time to explain where each oyster came from and walked us through the flavor profiles, which made the experience feel thoughtful and elevated rather than rushed.

I really loved the atmosphere—intimate, relaxed, and stylish without being pretentious. It’s a perfect spot for a date night or a night out with your significant other. Will definitely be coming back.

Island Oyster is one of the best restaurants in the city and, by far, my favorite. The service is outstanding—you can immediately tell the staff truly knows the products they offer, and they always go out of their way to accommodate you.

The quality of the food is superb, and the wine selection pairs perfectly with the oysters. I always end up asking who’s in charge of the music because it always hits, and on my last visit I even bought a T-shirt as a souvenir, which I’m proudly wearing while writing this review.

You guys are amazing!

Food was excellent. We had zero shell shards in the oysters. All oysters were fresh and tasty. Drinks were great too. But the best part was the staff. They're super friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I can't recommend this place more.

One of my favourite places in the city. Me and my business partner regularly go. The oysters are top notch. All of the staff are fabulous and are just fun to be around. Great vibes!

We've now hired Island Oyster to cater two of our parties for our business, and they did a phenomenal job! Will definitely keep hiring them in the future!

Unfortunately I do not have any photos. Visited Island Oysters a few months ago with a couple of friends. Odin took great care of us! We enjoyed the vibe, and drinks but the food was the star of the show. I am glad I opted to try West Coast oysters for the first time. I also highly recommend the Prawn Rolls.

I will undoubtedly return here the next time I am in Toronto.
