A group of friends taking the non-filipinos among us out to a Filipino restaurant for the first time ever. We ordered a bunch and ate family style, although all of us could've ordered one kare-kare plate each, it was that good. Overall, food and drinks were excellent, atmosphere was cool and casual, service was great, would most definitely go back.

The food was amazing, and at a reasonable price too. The ambiance was a bit dark but warm and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for your Filipino food cravings.Kid-friendliness: The staff were very nice to kids. My kids loved the place and the food too.

This restaurant is highly suggested for excellent -authentic Filipino dining experiece. Visited this restaurant with groups of friends for the first time and I must say- their food and service are beyond amazing and what a beautiful 'feel like home' ambiance. They were so welcoming and attentive- even offer suggestions for our appetites. We ordered varieties of their dish and we're very impressed how delicious each of their specialties. Prices are quite reasonable for its quality. In case your visiting this restaurant for the first time- 'kamayan' is a must to experience where you get varieties of dish (garlic fried rice with grilled meat + seafood+veggies) along with my favourite dessert 'halo-halo.' And not to forget to rsvp your seats first.@foodandtravelto

Our experience at iSLAS was made extra memorable as I chose to host my husband's surprise party here. I booked a private party and the staff went above and beyond to answer my questions and to help coordinate the event - from arranging the seating to coordinating with the kitchen for a special menu. The welcoming atmosphere, intimate setting and attentive service created an ambiance of excitement and anticipation among our guests, as they awaited our arrival. The food served during the party was exceptional and they were able to accommodate 50 guests without compromising on quality. Overall, hosting our surprise party here was a decision I will never regret. We are immensely grateful to the restaurant staff for their efforts in making our celebration a success and we can't wait to return to try more items on their menu.

We ordered the kamayan boodle for two and there was definitely more than enough for 3 or more, depending on how hungry you are! Delicious food, great ambience, good service. A perfect place for family gatherings. A place to bring non-Filipino friends to sample Filipino cuisine in a nice setting.

Came for lunch. Restaurant was not too busy. Their mango float is not the authentic taste of Filipino mango float. There is pay parking in the corner to the right side facing the restaurant. Safer than parking on the street. Their washroom is in the basement. Be careful when opening the door leading downstairs. I find this as a safety hazard. Overall delicious foods. Prices $$-$$$. I highly recommend the sisig, beef ribs with garlic rice.

I brought my parents here for dinner about a year ago. They had recently spent a year in the Philippines, they love the food, so I wanted to treat them. The night was a write off for many of tue same reasons everyone has already pointed out: mix up with our reso, took forever to get our food, some food was cold, dishes came at different times, so I won’t go into all that again here.Since then I found out we were actually served by the owner. The real issue that bothered me was the way she dealt with us and especially my mom. If you read the owner’s responses to the negative reviews here: fake apologize/take no responsibility/blame the customer/blame circumstances/talk about how great they think they are—that’s exactly how she dealt with us. My mom wasn’t going to send her cold food back but I encouraged her to give the feedback. It was replaced but not before the waitress/owner was really condescending to my mom. Really not cool to do to someone’s mom! And in front of them! I think she thought my mom and dad were just a couple of white folks that knew nothing about Filipino food so she could talk down to her. To make it worse, it was all done with a really fake, practiced sweetness that made me sick.Needless to say we didn’t stay for any Filipino desert and wanted get out of the area. We did a stroll up Roncesvalles and got some ice cream to go to try and save the night. A great meal/dining experience can last asa great memory for years. So can a bad one.

Amazing food and objectively, they're consistent with the quality. I've visited more than 5 times already to attest to it. I also got the chance to know the owners and they're one of the most generous and nice people to meet. I recommend getting the Chicken Adobo.I've just posted photos that I have from the different times I've visited.Vegetarian options: There are options and they are friendly and courteous to adjust the meal to your liking.Parking: Parking space is beside the establishment.Kid-friendliness: It's kid friendly and they have options that kids will like.

I absolutely love the oysters here. $1 per oyster every Tuesday is such a great deal. I can tell that the oysters are very fresh. There is only one server there on Tuesday, she is very nice though. Halo Halo is a must try! Lumpias are good as well.
