Cute spot but empty on a Monday night. The pressed sushi wasn’t very authentic but was tasty, the lobster miso is basically miso soup cooked in lobster head (only one tiny piece of meat in soup).
The miso black cod was very… interesting… had a cream sauce that tasted like chowder with kind of overcooked cod

JaBistro was the first ever set menu I got at a restaurant after I graduated university with my own money. I remember, at the time, the miso marinated black cod was the best dish I had ever eaten in my entire life.
That was 8 years ago. Coming back now, after having eaten a ton of amazing food, that cod still lives up to my memory of it and ranks among some of the best food I've ever had.

The Japandi design/layout is very welcoming but not well lit at all so it feels dark inside.
However, I found the service mediocre at best with a group. Not to mention the failing of telling anyone that there was a 20% gratuity automatically tagged on...eesh. Never taking a group here again for either business or personal. No offense guys, but you really dropped the ball on that...
