I visited as a lunch course, and it was almost the best course for the price. Most of all, the service stood out. Even the knee table that my daughter dropped during the meal was brought by the waiter before the request I will definitely visit again next time.
We had a wonderful meal and experience at Jacob's. The food was delicious - our steaks were prepared perfectly, and the sides were an ideal accompaniment. (We highly recommend the seasonal tortolini.) The sommelier helped us select a lovely bottle of red wine. In general, the service was outstanding.
If you're going on a date night, this is the perfect spot. I recommend the traditional tasting menu for 2! Best dining experience I've had in a while, the staff were exceptionally kind and competent and the steak was the best I've ever had from different parts Canada, Japan and Australia.
My second time at this restaurant for dinner. It was on a night where the Blue Jay's were playing Game 1 of World Series. Our server Christopher was amazing and brought a very calming presence to the service. Restaurant vibe also had the same vibe. Food was tasty. We ordered aged fish as first course; beet salad came out as a second course and then our mains took a really long time to come out after that. Not sure why, maybe something went wrong in the kitchen with the steaks...or maybe everyone at that point was watching the Blue Jays Game in the back....Our Rapini and Mushroom sides came out at room temperature, so they were for sure sitting and waiting for the steaks to catch up perhaps?... Mashed, rice and fries were also kind of room temperature. My tenderloin should have been "Medium" but came as "medium rare", I sent it back and it was adjusted and returned to me right away. Overall I would go back here for dinner, perhaps it was a one off, but the restaurant was NOT busy at all and the main dishes took way too long to come out! We sat at 8:00PM and our mains were not out until after 10:00PM...
I was not aware I was sitting in the bar area or would not have gone. I asked to change to the dining room, was told it was not available. The food was just okay,the steak was cooked properly, but just warm. When I received the bill I mentioned to the waiter that I felt like I was eating in a sports bar, The manager came over and mentioned it was a busy night. No offer for a drink, dessert, nothing. I have heard a lot of positive comments about the restaurant over the years. I will never go back. Over rated.
We have loved coming to Jacob's for many years - but this was our first time at the new location. While the steak and food was overall excellent - many of the little things that made this a special experience have been reduced or eliminated much to our disappointment. The special salts to enhance the steak have been cut back to only one - the brownie that had been included for birthday celebrations no longer happens and for whatever reason the muffins that are given at the end of the meal have been dramatically reduced in size. I'm assuming this was done to increase profits given the cost of the meals continues to be extremely high (+$1000 for 6 people), but its penny wise pound foolish - why cut back on the little things that made it special. That - and the quietness and quirkiness of the old location has been replaced by a modern, loud open atmosphere. All in all - a disappointing experience that will sadly have me considering other steakhouses for special occasions.
In town for game 1 of World Series. I've been to Jacobs at the old location several times for business meetings. This time was at the new location with my wife and son. They never disappoint. Large selection of quality beef including dry aged. We shared three cuts of aged bone in, aged ribeye, and waygu. All were excellent. Drinks top notch and I highly recommend trying the monkey bread for dessert. Service was spot on as always and a shout out to Ryan out the bar, amazing service!
Food and service exactly as it has always been - superb. The new location is a lot noisier than the original Tables situated a lot closer, felt very cramped and lacked privacy. No space for Cesar Salad cart for table side presentation. Raised noise and cramp tables issue with server who agreed it is very difficult to hear inside the restaurant.
Best steakhouse in the city. Adam is the assistant GM and handled our pre-Oder perfectly. Karan was our server and, as always, did a great job. Jacobs is consistently a top player in the food and beverage game.
Great service and the food is excellent. My steak was slightly overcooked, but still delicious so didn't complain. Highly recommend Jacob & Co.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had an incredible evening at Jacob's Steakhouse! The food was absolutely outstanding—perfectly cooked steaks and exceptional sides. Our server Mary made the night unforgettable with her warm personality, attention to detail, and impeccable service. She went above and beyond to make our experience truly special. Highly recommend Jacob's—and definitely ask for Mary.
Had fond memories of my first experience at the old location but our evening was a complete disappointment. From the lack lustre table Cesar to the overpriced wine list. The biggest fail was our steak. Half was medium rare and half was blue. Had to be grilled twice more and ultimately cane back burnt. In the end, I refused to pay for the steak and won't return. Overpriced and overhyped ... go to the Keg and save yourself a few hundred.
The noise level made it impossible to talk without shouting. s a result the meal was not enjoyable. I will not return
une expérience culinaire parfaite, la viande maturee était excellente, le cadre superbe et le service très bien, notre serveur étant français un petit plus pour les explications sur les viandes proposés .. le seul bémol un peu trop bruyant à mon goût dommage.
