On our most recent visit on September 20th, I had the sushi sashimi moriwase and it was the best ever I have ever had! Even our guests from Vancouver exclaimed that it is better than Vancouver's! First time visiting and the food was fresh and high quality for an affordable price! The store is on the smaller side but the interior is cozy and intimate. It has an open kitchen and the chef is super attentive and friendly. Definitely my new goto spot!

This place is seriously a secret gem, when I came back from Japan I found that this was very much the Japanese experience: intimately snug, incredibly fresh fish and ultra attentive staff. 5 star at 3 dollar sign prices. Skip the expensive places and come here for the Japanese experience.
Japango was absolutely amazing!! We went around 7pm and there was no wait for a table but be aware they have limited seating about 7 tables. We waited a bit for our food and the server came over with free edamame for us due to the wait but it was definitely worth it! The sushi was amazing we also ordered the Takoyaki Balls which were delicious as well! For 2 people we got the 4B and 5A and it was very filling! We also got the blue fin tuna belly which basically melted in your mouth! Will be back soon!

The food was okay. Tonkatsu was too salty and there were hard scales leftover on my bluefin tuna belly sashimi, but the service and overall experience was even worse. Our server got berated by one of the chefs right in front of everyone for forgetting to post a ticket from an online order and then we watched the chef rudely tell a online order delivery driver to stand outside during a heatwave eventhough there were plenty of little seats by the entrance. It was the restaurant's fault the driver had to wait, but to make him wait outside was ridiculous. I feel bad for anyone who works under this chef.

Dining here was a highlight of our summer! The sushi we had was unique, beautiful, and amazing—from the futo maki to the various nigiri and the japango roll, everything was fresh and spectacular. It’s incredible the team here can do what they do in such a petit space. Loved every second of it. Thank you so much to the team!!
