Favourite place to come for pitchers and nachos! Food and drinks are cheap and it's always a good time at Java. Servers are awesome. I love the chicken quesadillas it's my favourite thing on the menu.

Probably a love it or hate it kind of place. But I've been coming here since I was a teen (20 years??)It's affordable. Food probably isn't going to win any awards but there's a decent amount of choice between food & drink.Staff has always been nice, service has always been solid. Is cash only, there's an ATM that does have terrible fees (Infact the only ATM I think of in the neighborhood that's accessible at night).Vegetarian options: There's an avocado & brie (?) sandwich that I really like and has been my go to for a few years now.

Recommended dishes: Fried Tofu, Spring Rolls

I came back to this place, the area change so much, but the place still great, and i even think of my to go spot, when im on the area. Always great service.I hope it stays the same and not be replace by condos.‐‐----------------Family owned place. With great deals on beer and specials everyday. Good service. It needs a renovation but you forget with your beer experience. It feels like a family party

Love love love this place! Me and my friend were just walking downtown when we came accross this restaurant, people inside were just vibing drinking sangria and food looked good. So we decided to go inside, ordered the sangria pitcher and two entrees. The music and the vibe overall of the restaurant is sooooo cool. The service was fast, servers were nice. However the bathroom is quite a walk but other than that this place is perfect for simple drinking or eating to try to sober up if the club was boring lol. I always recommend this place to new people <3

Best prices in town, and old school institution been around for years. Good to go just hangout, play games, have a drink, eat some yum food, a very versatile space.

Unfortunately places like these are a dying breed in this part of downtown, being replaced by overpriced trendy and pretentious bars and restaurants. I love this place because it's a very comfortable and low key café/tavern with cheap dependable food and friendly service. The menu is part pub/diner food and part Thai/Vietnamese food. I tried both and I liked them all. I had the vegetarian tofu pad Thai and I was pleasantly surprised that the tofu was served crispy (and not greasy). It was simple and good and for $12.50 it's an excellent deal and you can't go wrong. The veggie burger was also good and I really like the fries as it has a very light crispy batter. Almost all of the items on the menu were under $12, and they often have combo food & drink specials. There is WiFi and it's good place to have some lunch, a beer or coffee while doing some work. Sitting by the window makes for a good spot to people watch on Queen St. This is definitely not a high end restaurant so I don't understand some of the poor reviews. It's a chill, humble neighbourhood spot frequented by residents in the area -- who cares that the furniture is worn and the interior is quirky and old, this is true character and charm you don't find in a newer establishment, especially in this part of the city.

Food and service was ok. But there's a cash only policy that is not mentioned anywhere. So most customers have to go to the ATM and withdraw money and pay the ATM fee. Not cool. Hope it's worth it for the owner to swindle the government and annoy clients for 3% fee. I'm not going there anymore.

Staff at Java House are professional and kind. The food is amazing. We had an event for 100 people and Java staff made a delicious brunch, delivered to our door and on time.I couldn't ask for a better service.Thank you, Jessica and everyone at Java.
