Jimbu Himalayan Thakali Kitchen - Nepali Restaurant in Toronto

I recently visited this restaurant and ordered a thali. The food itself was okay, but the service was quite disappointing. The server, who was Nepali, brought us our thali but never came back to ask if we needed anything else. However, I noticed that when Nepali customers arrived, she served them extra items for their thali and was much more attentive to them. It felt unfair and unprofessional to be treated differently. I expected better customer service and consistency for all guests, regardless of background. Very disappointing experience.

Amazing food.
I've been to so many Nepali restaurants, but none of them could beat their taste. Pork sekuwa is a must-try.

I had a great experience at Jimbu Thakali! The food was delicious and full of authentic flavors. The server was very kind, professional, and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely recommend this place for anyone who enjoys tasty Thakali cuisine and great service!

After a long, tiring day exploring the amazing views of the CN Tower and the Aquarium, Jimbu Himalayan thakali Kitchen was the perfect place to dine — the best spot to enjoy authentic Nepali taste!

We ordered thakali thali set, taas & pork sekuwa and jhol momos. It was really tasty and good portion for the price. Service was also great. I would definitely visit here again!

I ordered the Thakali set and momos multiple times— both were really good! The flavors were authentic, well-balanced, and satisfying. The Thakali set had a great variety, and the momos were juicy and flavorful. Definitely worth trying. However, the seating area was quite limited, which made it a bit difficult to get a table.

If you are someone looking for some Nepali/Himalayan Food to try, you can definitely visit there. There appetizers are fairly good enough to enjoy with friends and family. I went there mainly for thakali a maincourse with my friends, and I personally didn't enjoy it, they should definitely improve especially on preparing lentils and mutton( they serve lamb though) it was terrible.

The vibe is good, the lady server who served us was polite and was 100% on her job. Kudos to her.

I ordered the thakkali thali and beef fry and was really disappointed. The quantity was shockingly small. I could literally see the bottom of the container and count the pieces. This place used to be much better, but the quality and value have gone downhill. Sadly, not worth it anymore.

For authentic and healthy homemade flavors, Jimbu Himalayan Napliese food is the ideal destination. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite and appreciated the option to request refills of rice, vegetables, and ghee on hot rice. I would suggest offering more papadum next time. Yummy 😜

I’ve noticed that the portion of food has gone down significantly compared to last year, when I first introduced to this restaurant, my friends raved about the portion for the price, but now I feel like we’re getting half the size compared to last year, especially momo size
