I usually love this coffee place and go here every time I come into the city. Because I loved it so much, I bought a pack of the DEAN coffee, which is what they use as their regular espresso. The lady working asked what grind I needed based on what machine I’d use to make coffee. I told her espresso. When I go to make coffee with it, the water does not want to run through the coffee grinds. So I spent $20 on a bag of espresso that I can’t even enjoy.

Coffee in Toronto, we are finding is SO much better than DC where we come from but Jimmys (at least our local on Queen) beats them all! My GF and I have slightly different orders and both were blown away. Leaving this morning we had to have one in the charming little cafe and one for the road. Vive Jimmy’s!

This Jimmy’s coffee is next to Frank and Oak shop, so it’s not spacious, but it always have good vibe. What’s more, when I visit there, cool baristas always welcome us:)

The Jimmy's coffee is great, that's why I like going there. However, this location seems to have decided that they only need one employee working. This leads to incredibly slow service. It is not the employee's fault at all. They are excellent. You just need more than one person on staff.
Outstanding coffee and quick service! I ordered an americano with 2 espresso shots. The bean of the day is Hoffa, which had tasting note described as sweet, caramel and cocoa. The taste was very pleasant, well balanced. The barista also did a fantastic job extracting the beans and it had a nice layer of crema. Well done, and will return.

I recently tried a small matcha latte with oat milk and found it to be quite milky, with only a faint green hue when I opened the lid. The barista explained that their in-house recipe for a small matcha includes just one scoop of matcha but kindly offered to add an extra shot for me. Unfortunately, even with the additional matcha, the flavor and appearance didn’t improve. The matcha had a muddy green color, which made me wonder if they used very low quality Matcha or if it might have been very old matcha. That said, the service was good, and I appreciated the staff’s efforts to address my concerns.

I come here at least once a week due to convenience of the location. The baristas are mostly sweet and efficient, but I feel the overall quality of this location has gone down over the past month or so. The almond croissants have been stale each time I’ve gotten one in the past month when they used to be my FAVOURITE sweet treat. There is also only 1 barista at a time now which results in long wait times to place one’s order (no fault of theirs). I’ve watched 2-3 customers poke their head in, see the line and walk away in the past few times I’ve been there. I think it would be a good business move to hire another barista to ensure your staff is well supported and customers can have their expectations met - more business for you. + please fix the stale croissants 😩😩
