Amazing breakfast diner. Eggs cooked to perfection. Good quality bacon. Pancakes just right instead of the usual undercooked or mealy mess you get at many diners. Great potatoes. Properly buttered bread. Great service - the wrong style eggs came out first but it was corrected in less than a couple minutes.

We found Johnny g’s on google and decided to try it out, one of the best breakfasts I’ve had in a long time, it’s a smaller venue ambit not claustrophobic, ample space for dining, and great staff.

Went to see The Stone’s Trio at Johnny G’s Cafe tonight. Service 10/10, Shawn was a joy to be with and always attentive. Chefs were checking on us and the food ALL THE TIME. Definitely recommend. Most of the dishes we had were vegan and they were SO GOOD even my non-vegan friends asked for more. Oh, and needless to say, The Stone’s Trio were so wholesome too, sad to see they didn’t have that much of an audience, though. Will definitely come back in the future!😊

I remember coming here when I was younger and coming back to see this place renovated with a new classy look but also keeping that homey type feel to it is just amazing the service was also amazing we had a great server named rocky who was very kind and helpful

Had an amazing time at Johnny G’s Cafe! They were incredibly accommodating and welcoming while hosting our birthday celebration. The food menu is excellent, the bar service is on point, and the addition of live jazz makes it a real Cabbagetown gem. The recent renovations and rebrand look fantastic and really elevate the space. Definitely coming back—highly recommend.
