My Winterlicious lunch was excellent from the mushroom soup to the trout with potatoes and roe and ending with Black Forest mousse. I savoured every bite.

We were there for the 5 course chef farm to table menu, but the place seemed slammed by Winterlicious reservations that were not expected, so the service was a bit off in that that they forgot our cocktails and then also one of our courses was severely delayed. There seemed to be a misconnect between the bar, the kitchen and service which was odd since the chef's menu and timing are not really up for interpretation. The tasting menu was nice, but I'd be interested to see if what their actual menu is like if we come back. Servers and host were excellent.

Had weekend brunch— was fabulous. Service, food and drink and atmosphere were great. Highly recommend and will be back again for sure the next time we're in Toronto. My partner and I both agreed that if we lived in the city it would be in our regular rotation.

We had an outstanding dining experience at Joni restaurant on January 26, 2026, the day after the snowstorm. This is our first time at Joni and it won't be our last after the excellent meal, service and atmosphere at Joni. We opted for the 5-course Chef's menu for $95 per person and wow, the dishes were all outstanding -- artfully and well balanced flavours, ingredients were fresh and some dishes seem to have a japanese-inspired fusion. Each item that came out was well executed and delicious combination of flavours. I've posted some pictures. There was in-house milk rolls with miso-infused butter (yum), the lobster tail was delicious and the beef dish incredibly tender. There's also delightful surprise from the kitchen. We felt well satiated at the end of our evening. The decor and atmosphere is just right -- although the space is huge with extremely high ceilings, the acoustics were excellent. The environment feels warm and intimate, tables were spread out so you don't feel cramped at all, or being overheard. Music volume was appropriate, just in the background and not intrusive. One can tell the space was well designed to promote a relaxing dining experience. Service from the team was outstanding. Our server, Mohamed, was professional and friendly, but not intrusive. The service just added to the overall experience of our delicious meal. We plan to return with some friends for the outstanding meal. The Chef menu really highlights the chef's creativity and imagination. The service and atmosphere are all bonuses, including the surprise. Joni has been added to our favourite fine dining choices.

I fell in love with this restaurant but this time had a poor experience which has dropped my review a lot. The shrimp brioches I ordered were so small and had not been sliced through so the amount of shrimp inserted was very little. When asked if all was OK I said it wasn't and the waitress brought me more shrimp which I was able to put on the brioche by slicing it through making little sandwiches. The waiter who started with us disappeared after we requested some vinegar and asked a question of the chef. Thank goodness another waitress took over and was great. I have to say also that the menu is very limited.

Had a wonderful evening at Joni with some friends. We all opted for the five-course tasting menu, and every dish was delicious, full of unique and thoughtful flavours. Highly recommend the experience, Joni really isn't talked about enough!

I had a wonderful experience at Joni restaurant. The service was excellent from the very beginning. I was greeted very warmly, and the staff were extremely attentive throughout my visit. They made me feel welcome and truly cared about my comfort. Thank you for such a pleasant and professional service — I will definitely come back.

Came for New Year buffet brunch. Very high quality food. Fresh seafood selection. Refined but casual atmosphere. Attentive service. Not cheap but you're getting what you paid for.

Joni, located on the ground floor of the Park Hyatt in downtown Toronto's Yorkville area, is a culinary gem, earning a solid five stars. Chef Jonathan consistently delivers a phenomenal dining experience, crafting seasonal menus and hosting special events that keep us coming back. Our recent visit featured a five-course preset menu that was nothing short of exceptional, starting with some incredibly appetizing appetizers that set the tone for the entire meal. I opted for the cod fish, which was cooked to perfection and absolutely amazing. We began with a delicious French onion soup as well. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the filet mignon. The drinks were wonderful, and the entire dining experience was elevated by fantastic service from an attentive staff in a clean and well-maintained restaurant.

Went for late evening drinks and desserts at Joni. Service was excellent as you would expect. Apple crumble, ice creams, chocolate mousse all very good. The cheese board with a choices of Ontario cheese was a favourite. The setting was modern and very relaxing. A wonderful finish to the day.
