Amazing! So glad I popped into this gem on a whim! Food and service was amazing, for a great price too! Presentation was great too, but the lighting makes it so that the photo does not do it justice. 😉

The sushi was fresh and delicious, and overall a great experience. The only thing that could be improved is the packaging — it could be a bit sturdier

This is my favourite sushi bar in Toronto. Where every sushi place is the same, the food here is elevated. It’s a food lover’s sushi

Amazing service, the most delicious sushi rolls I've had in the city, and a delightful little patio! We had the Korean Nori Ceviche, the VIP rolls, and Supreme rolls - all fantastic! Hidden gem for sure. Thank you!

I’ve been to this sushi bar before with my wife and had a decent experience, but this recent visit was very disappointing.
The place is a bar with very loud music and a lively atmosphere. However, as soon as I sat down while on a call with my wife, the staff asked me to lower my phone volume. I found this request strange and unreasonable — in such a noisy environment, my call volume was not louder than the background noise at all. Also last time me and my wife was together and chatting all the time, there is no one needs us to lower our voice at that time. Obviously, their policy was inconsistent.
Later, when I tried to order take-out and pay, I was told they don’t accept cash and could only take card payments. This policy was never mentioned beforehand, which made the situation even more frustrating. In the end, I left without being able to order.
Compared to my previous visit, this felt inconsistent and unwelcoming. The food was good, but the service and rules really need to be clearer and more customer-friendly.

The salmon and avocado donburi was so delicious. Thick slices of salmon that melted in my mouth like butter and lots of avocado. Will definitely be returning!

On a recent visit to Toronto, I just googled sushi restaurants near Dundas Square and Ju Sushi came up as an option. It was about a 10-15 minute walk to the Garden District which if you’re not well experienced in walking grittier city areas could be jarring. We found that the TTC 505 line stopped very close by afterwards but we were fine with the local “characters” we encountered along the way.

We did happen to go in on a Monday early evening of a holiday so it wasn’t busy inside but they were quite busy with pick up and delivery orders. We were a little worried at first about the quality of food but all those to-go orders relieved us of that.

Anyway, on to the food! The menu was a fusion of Korean offerings and sushi. Definitely had no issues with that. We ordered three apps: spicy cheesy corn, fried octopus and the combo tempura plate. Everything was excellent, especially the breading on the octopus and the tempura. Would order all three again. Then we ordered a Rainbow Roll and a Philly Roll. I know, not very traditional but that’s what we were in the mood for. The rolls were super flavorful with an infused smokiness that took the flavor profile up a notch.

Our waitress was very friendly and fill us in on the neighborhood and the usual crowd which we missed out on but nonetheless the restaurant itself had a fun, quirky vibe; nothing like what you’d expect from a typical sushi restaurant. The music app had their algorithm on fire. It gave the place a cool party lounge atmosphere. I suppose I’d call it funky disco kawaii if that’s a 2025 style of decor.

If we lived here, we’d definitely make this a go-to spot. If anyone we know is planning to visit Toronto, we make sure to direct them to Ju Sushi too!
