First time empanada eater here! Ordered cheese version and omg it reminds me my hometown in Turkey, we also make similar but different shape. Was excellent!

First time visiting and really hot are nice experience! The staff or owner was really super nice. Ordered one of their famous beef empanadas and it was hot and delicious! I even ordered the hot sauce and it was a perfect accompaniment! It was a really tasty snack and really hit the spot. Looking forward to coming back again on another visit!

Unfortunately all good things come to and end and so did this restaurant when the other owners sold it. Ugh, never to buy here again 🙄

Don’t waste your money. This place is rarely open, and when it finally was, we gave it a try. It’s cash only, which is already inconvenient. The beef empanadas were terrible. It was so bland, despite the weird ingredients and had an off taste that made them really unappetizing. I couldn’t even finish mine and wouldn’t consider taking it as left overs. Tables were dirty left over meals on them. Overall so disappointing for 8.50+tax an empanada

Why even have tables and chairs if you’re going to tell customers “no dine in” when the store is still open for another 45 minutes? It was rude. It’s 90 degrees outside, about 100 in this place, and I wanted to sit down and eat not have to walk several blocks before I found somewhere. Plus the empanadas honestly were not that good compared to ones I’ve had in the USA, Mexico, and Dominican Republic.

Honestly it’s hard to find good Chilean empanadas in the city, we are a rare sight over here haha so it’s nice to come here… You can never go wrong with some empanadas de carne y de queso, they’re just not as good as my abuelitas🙈🙊
Can’t wait to come back and try their pastel de choclo y empanadas de pollo.
Employees are always very polite and welcoming.

I’ve worked for over 40 years in the service industry and have witnessed excellent service, but this particular clerk's behavior was UNACCEPTABLE! She asked us to call her when ready, despite NO OTHER CUSTOMERS being in line! Her attitude turned ugly when she tried to upsell a senior citizen, and I, being budget-conscious, called her out on it. Her parting shot? 'If you don’t like that behaviour, don’t come!' UNBELIEVABLE!

Disappointed as cheese empanadas where not fresh all soggy and oily, beef empanadas were much smaller then before but prices much higher, pebre is sold separately as before it was included with beef empanadas. I understand living cost is higher but don’t take advantage of customers. Now I understand why there was no issue getting a table, people are going elsewhere.

Visited late Friday lunchtime around two o'clock and had no problem finding a seat inside (there is seating outside too). Met with friendly and efficient staff and I ordered the beef empanada along with an Inca Kola and the salsa. The empanada was very good, the pastry was more of a harder crust than the ones I've had before, yet, there was no problem eating and it actually gave me something to put the salsa on. The beef filing was good with a nice flavour and no gristly bits. The salsa is quite hot, yet, not overpowering. The Inca Kola was cold and refreshing. Prices were a little higher than I expected, empanada $8.50, salsa $0.50 and Kola $2.75. To fill up a reasonable appetite I think you need 2 empanadas. There were some other interesting items on the menu, however, I came in for a quick bite. Decorations were fitting for Kensington Market.

Ordered 2 cheese empanadas and both were great. The spicy salsa they served it with was very good and flavorful.
Service was ok, the lady taking our order seemed like we were bothering her. No A/C so a great place to grab and go. I'm sure in the right times of the year it's fine.
