We really love this dumpling place! The leek & egg dumplings and zucchini & egg dumplings are super delicious! The filling is jammed packed and dumpling skin has great texture!This time we ordered the lamb and cilantro which was very juicy and flavourful. So glad they are opened!The green onion pan kale is a must!Menu options shrunk probably due to covid.Price is very reasonable.There is safe seating inside and option for parking lot patio. Will be back again very soon

Incredibly juicy, packed dumplings with really good flavour! We ordered lamb dumplings, and cabbage / pork steamed dumplings. The prices aren't high, and you really get more than you pay for. Much better than the other dumpling place a block south. What really blew us away was the level of service that was provided. One of the waitresses noticed we dropped a napkin / reached for it off the ground and came over stopping us immediately to ensure we had a fresh napkin, and she also assisted my father with his cane on our way out. We're very happy with this place!

I'm a s***** for dumplings but this place fell a bit short of expectations. We ordered steamed dumplings, a beef wrap and handmade lamb noodles. Portions are quite big here: the dumplings were so full and plump, noodles were in a big bowl, and even the wrap was bigger than most places. However, something was off about their dough. In both the noodles and dumplings, I felt it was too thick and dense, yet mushy. Overall, other than the wrap, I can't say I really enjoyed any of the food here.

Came with my friends for some Chinese dumplings. Overall the food was good and servers were generally helpful. My personal favourite out of what we ordered was Chongqing style sliced beef in Chili oil. The beef slices were tender and the numbing spicy mala accentuated the flavour. The dumplings were full of meaty juice and were good in general. I just wish the dumpling skin was thinner. I wouldn’t mind coming for a second visit. That time, I’d like to try the white chicken soup in a steel bowl that all other Chinese people were ordering

I'm totally a dumplin' kinda girl :) JXY always has me coming back for more! Their dumplings are so plump, juicy and very delicious! They come in 12s, steaming hot in a bamboo steamer. If you're looking for those pan-fried crispy dumplings, this is NOT the place lol. They specialize mainly in steamed and boiled dumplings. JXY also have a lot of those northern Asian comfort foods, like pork intestines, pork blood, lamb with cumin, and many spicy favourites. Definitely not for everyone lol. But my family loves lamb and intestines, so that is all we ordered XD If you can't eat too spicy, you can request the kitchen to make it less spicy for you! Highly recommend if you're feeling adventurous: - Leek & Egg steamed dumplings - Lamb & Coriander steamed dumplings - Spanish Mackerel & Leek dumplings - Pork intestines with hot peppers - Green onion pancakes Not recommend: - Pan fried Beef dumplings They newly renovated, and now has new red furniture and more round tables for large groups. WARNING: servers all speak in mandarin, so make sure you bring a friend who DOES if you DO NOT... or else you will just be as fed up as those Yelpers who wrote a review about them not speaking English lol. Very authentic northern Chinese cuisine. Bold flavours and spices with unique dishes and yummy steamed or boiled dumplings to order. Try their in-house draft beer also. Goes well with all the spicy flavours.

DO NOT COME HERE. AND NEVER ORDER THE FISH IN CHILI OIL. Their menu states "fresh" fish in hot chili oil but served us a fish that was dead for god knows how long. The meat was EXTREMELY MUSHED LIKE BABY FOOD and we were sitting right next to the fish tank. We complained saying their menu states LIVE fish. They claim that they JUST netted it. BUT WE WERE SITTING RIGHT NEXT TO IT THE WHOLE TIME WE DIDNT SEE ANYONE NET ANY FISH. we continue to argue and another server (guy) leaves and comes back sayign they netted the fish at 6pm. WE SEATED AT 6:20pm. Dont bs me. Why would you randomly net the fish? As if they knew we were going to come in and order the fresh fish? They are extremely stubborn and wont admit they're at fault. In the end they never apologized and didn't remove it from the bill nor did they offer to change it to anything else. Paid for the garbage food and left. Never coming back to this mainland place.

Servers were also rude and walked away when we tried to communicate with them. No apologies were made for missing one of our orders, so next to none customer service. 2) The server that entered our order did not enter one of our dishes. I sensed that was the case because we ordered 2 servings of dumplings and only one arrived. Usually they make both and serve the dumplings orders at the same time. 3) Waited 45mins for the beef brisket noodle soup to arrive. Not only did I have to ask 3 times when the remaining dishes would arrive, which only 1 of 2 did since they forgot to enter one of the dumpling orders. 4) Not sanitary, I saw a server fish out a soaked parchment paper for the bamboo steamer from dirty dishes and put it back in the bamboo steamer to use.

I am so in love with the creative Northern Chinese food here. The place has loads of creative and delicious lamb dishes. Hot pots are super great and the dumplings are numerous.
