Wonderful cozy ramen bar! The food and cocktails was amazing and our servers were great; they were very informative and passionate about the menu, and had us seated, and served promptly, and billed early, so we could make the show we were seeing on schedule. Will definitely be stopping by again when I'm in the area!

Their ramen broth could be more flavorful but the noodle texture was excellent. Seasoned soy egg could have had more seasoning. Price was a little on the high side but portions are big. Agedashi tofu was disappointing because the cornstarch breading soon became gummy and there was not enough crispiness to it. Wine and cocktails looked nice but wine by glass was expensive. Beer selection pretty weak for a place which is trying to be a restaurant/bar. Set-up is not ideal for a bar but music was great. If drink prices were more reasonable, I could see more diners ordering a drink with a meal but no one wants to pay 24$ for ramen and 21$ for a glass of wine. I think if they addressed these issues and offered more toppings for ramen, they might be able to make this place work but as it is now, I probably wouldn’t go out of my way for it.Wheelchair accessibility: It seems like there was no ramp and the entrance is a step up from ground level.

I want to start off by saying the service and vibe of the restaurant were amazing. Perfect for a nice date night with some ambiance but also if you just want to stop by for a quick solo meal. The staff were so attentive and very friendly. Unfortunately the food fell a bit short of expectations given the price. Nothing was bad but just missed in terms of flavours. I get that this isn’t your typical Japanese style ramen so maybe that’s where the disconnect was but I felt it lacked cohesion and focus. To start, why was there parsley garnish on everything? It lacked purpose on the pork sando and the flavour didn’t work with the ramen. I’m a firm believer in that garnish should serve a purpose and can be eaten with the food without detracting from dish. The sando was good but could have used a touch more acidity and cabbage. Pork was tender, seasoned and cooked well. Bread was milk bread so you can’t go wrong. We had the creamy shio ramen and the duck ramen. The creamy shio ramen had pork which was cooked perfectly, chicken that was tender though lacking in flavour and the clams were honestly a bit lost. Had there been more clam flavour in the broth I would better understand their addition. The creamy foam topping was visually appealing but not sure it added to the overall taste though the noodles were nice and firm to my liking. Broth just tasted like fortified chicken broth, nothing spectacular but nothing offensive (Except for the parsley). The duck ramen was overly soy forward. Too much tare and not enough fat maybe? Duck and noodles were cooked well. We added the soy marinated egg which was very nice and jammy but maybe an agitama style egg is preferable. For the premium price of the ramen compared to other veteran ramen places in the city, there’s opportunity to fine tune the execution a bit. Individual elements shone through but when put together, the end product was a bit distracted.

Loved the retro vibe with a very relaxed ambience and attentive service. For dinner, I had the duck ramen and agedashi tofu with tempura in dashi both, both very well balance in flavour. Definitely will be back.

We came here on a Saturday for lunch. There was no wait and we were quickly seated. We tried the creamy soy and clear tokyo shio noodles. Would recommend the creamy one if you prefer something with stronger flavour. We also ordered the fried edamame and it was amazing! Crispy and well seasoned! Will definitely come again!

I'll make a bit of an exception and award 5 stars off of something that I didn't order for myself - however I did taste it. I wasn't terribly hungry when I came, so I ordered the 'Sando' filled with fried beef croquettes. I also shared a few chicken wings. All of that was pleasant, but I did try my wife's creamy soy ramen, and it was among the best I've ever tasted. I can't have that experience and leave less than 5 stars.

Visited on Feb 23/24 around 530PM for Dine In.This place was high to try on my tour of Ramen across the city since it was recommended by the Ramen Guy on insta. The atmosphere in this little Ramen bar was just perfect and the staff were super attentive. Definitely a good date night spot or for a few friends as this is a smaller place.I got the Creamy Shio and this flavour was unlike any creamy chicken broth I've had. So foamy and the flavor was elevated and subtle at the same time. The clams were such a delicious touch and of course I had to get an egg (was the first time I've had egg at a Ramen that wasn't cut in half though).Definitely add this place to your list of Ramen bars to try. A lot of other tables had apps and drinks too so give those a try too.

Was looking for a chicken-based broth ramen restaurant. I hit the jackpot.Very rich and bold broth, melt-in-your mouth chicken breast, and home made hot sauce. Friendly service and chill atmosphere. I could’ve eaten 2 bowls! Will def go back as they have a duck ramen that was sold out that I need to try next time.Vegetarian options: Vegan Ramen option

Kaminari Ramen Bar is a subjective and unique experience to check out.Located right in the heart of Downtown Toronto on Queen Street West in the Parkdale region, Kaminari Ramen Bar delivers on specialty made ramen bowls with unique ingredients and unique tastes. The staff at Kaminari Ramen Bar are a delight as they are very helpful and help you choose what's on the menu.Spending of the menu, the menu at Kaminari Ramen Bar is very small but delicious. You do have to choose between 5 - 6 Ramen bowls of your choice and each Ramen bowl has an addition on a boiled egg to be added on top.You do have the ability to experience a unique blend of cocktails that are available to you and the beer selection to choose from is very small.I had the Clear Tokyo ? Shio which delivered on taste and an authentic bowl of ramen with mixed vegetables and ingredients that got to my taste buds.Apart from the menu, the atmosphere at the restaurant is very chill and romantic. You do get to experience a candle light ?️ for each table and the venue is small enough to fit about 20-25 people.I really enjoyed it and I hope the restaurant does well and stays open into the summer. ?
