I've only been here twice and I am glad for the second visit. Both times I got the curry chicken. I also ordered the soup (I would avoid that next time), it wasn't ready to serve. It was to liquidity, the starch hadn't had enough time to form. But my chicken and rice was on point. It is definitely a pretty pretty penny, but at least you won't complain about the freshness or flavour of your meal. I spent over $32 for a large chicken and rice with a small soup (without tip, $40/with). Mind you, it was Not boneless and she didn't pack in any extra meat there was only 5 pieces of meat for the price I paid. I'm not sure why it is so pricey, not sure if I would spend that type of money again for what I got, but it was good and decent.
4 Stars- Overpriced for the portion/location, soup was too watery.

It's easy to miss because the sign just says restaurant now, but the jerk chicken is really good! It's a good portion and the staff are really nice

This joint is amazing! Really authentic, home-made food, and the ladies are also super friendly. I tried the jerk chicken and the curry goat and both were fabulous. Great flavour, great price, great service.

Authentic? Perhaps, I can't exactly verify that, but I can totally tell you how tasty it was. Even a small portion was a hearty size, the bottom is filled with some very soft rice, that acts as a sponge to soak up that unforgettably savory and beefy gravy, which I find even better than the oxtail?? Somewhat of a hard feat to do as the oxtail was tender and full of flavour, with its collagen fully rendered to melt in your mouth. The sautéed veggies on the side are a nice touch, providing a refreshing crisp and an impression that you're eating a balanced meal.

Great food, oxtail yum and hot. An ointment for the billowy winds on an autumn eve of the ol' 6

Four Stooges (Food Reviews)

My colleagues and I got the jerk chicken and the oxtail dinners. They were heavy on the rice but light on the meat. It was very flavorful, but just not enough. My one colleague asked for half the items on the menu, but they were all out of stock apparently. There were no diet pops as well. To top it all off, they said that the prices listed were old prices. Then the new prices were quite high for jerk Chicken dinners in my opinion. I would probably try another place when I’m in the area.

I would give this a solid 3.8 / 5. This was authentic Jamaican curry goat. The smell, the colour and the texture were spot on. I like a bit of scotch bonnet with my curry, I wasn’t getting any heat. They do offer cook up veg on the side.

I’ll be back to try more items on the menu.

My only issue… if it’s Noon, lunch rush, why is there no patty? No plantain?

Like I said, I’ll be back, go check them out, authentic Jamaican. If you know, you know.

Apr 2024. Food is good, authentic. had oxtail, stew chicken ( a little too sweet), jerk chicken, and festival. What made this a 11/10 is the atmosphere, music, patrons. If I closed my eyes, I.m transported back to a time when things were just simple and relaxed, not a care in the world. Laughter from patrons, reggae in the background, smell of food cooking.KC is a real Jamaican chef. Miss Sophie, was Sweet, attentive, nice. . Thank you both... I will be back
