Best two breakfast bagels I have ever had! I visited Kettlemans Bagel, which is on 33 Bathurst St Unit C in Toronto, for some breakfast, and they did not disappoint. The two bagels that I tried were just what I needed. They tasted just how I like bagels to taste: nice and fluffy on the inside and nice and crispy on the outside. Definitely going back here when I visit Toronto again.

I think their bagels are the best in Toronto. Tasty and not too dense and doughy. Their app is also really useful as you can place an order ahead of time and it is ready for you when you arrive. I love the new plant based smoked salmon alternative.
Vegetarian options: This is the only spot I have found with plant based lox to go with the non-dairy cream cheese.
Parking: One of us ran in while the other parked nearby in a non-official spot.

Gone are the days when people took pride in what they do. I have accepted that. I thought however, that paying an excessively high price for a very simple product meant that what you were paying for didn’t secure high quality out of sheer pride, but because you elected to pay $17 for a bagel sandwich. It’s certainly not an issue with the quality of the products, rather the care taken by the people preparing them. A $3 latke is comparable in price and in substance to a McDonald’s hash brown (and I believe that we can all agree that something happened at McDonald’s to give them the gull to think they are convincing anyone that they are still selling a “cheap” product): a very simple thing to prepare, and I know because I’ve made thousands of them. I don’t know if it was a conscious decision to pan fry them on only one side, but I can assure you that is not how you cook almost anything. It will certainly ensure that not only will it not be crispy, but that it will likely be a soggy gray mass. And it doesn’t even things out to leave one side uncooked, and to burn the f#@ck out of the other. I wish that this logic had been applied to the thing you are all known for: the bagel. Because had you cooked it the way you cooked the latke (a bagel being among few foods that get cooked on one side), you may have fooled me into thinking it was toasted. And this practice seems to be consistent among all your bagels because I ordered two of them, and you are batting 1.000 guys. Now, I’m not a professional bagel chef, so perhaps I am beyond my depth here, but if you are going to use words like “toasted” perhaps do a google search as to what the general expectation may be, because while there was an obvious use of some kind of toasting device, you may need to dial back the speed on the little conveyor belt to just slightly below Mach 10, unless of course you are trying to set a land speed record.
Truly disappointed. The meat tasted horrible, no flavor and no quality. It used to be good. They also forgot to include a few extras in my order and made me come back to get them.

Very stale bagels.. can’t believe this place is so popular. Each time I’ve been here, bagels have been stale. Won’t be going back.
Wish we had a better spot in the city for good bagels.

Several varieties of sandwiches with bagels. The “all dressed” bagels were delicious.
Great spot for a quick bagel sandwich!

Normally I don't write reviews but this time I want to share how abysmal was the food quality, I ordered a chicken bagel and it was as hard as a lava rock nearly hurt my jaw eating it and had to throw the rest of it , chicken was very low in quality as advertised and the presentation by god absolutely garbage, the lettuce and pickles were all over the place, I don't want to be rude but you need to do better !

Ordering via Uber etc is really bad experience, what I used to like about Kettleman's was fresh bagels. When you order online they seem to intentionally serve harder bagels. There is no option to request freshly cooked ones... not ordering again...

Decent but overpriced bagels + the place is just dirty. There’s 20 staff back there and nobody can keep the restrooms clean? Meh.
