My go-to Hakka spot in downtown Toronto - Khao Hakka!
Khao Hakka has easily become my regular place whenever I’m craving good Hakka food. The flavors are always on point, portions are generous, and everything tastes fresh and satisfying every single time.
The service is friendly, the place has a nice vibe, and it’s perfect for a quick meal or a casual dine-in when you’re in the downtown area. If you love spicy, flavorful Indo-Chinese/Hakka food, this is definitely a must-try.
Keep it up team - always happy to come back! 🔥🍜👏😊

We got the combo deal for 2 people. The portions were good, but everything was way too salty and the flavour was very one note.
The service was good. The man taking the order was very friendly and service was prompt.
The atmosphere was basic. It was steamy inside and a bit cold inside.

Taste average, price high quantity less, closing 9:00 pm. Only good thing is that they using long grain basmati rice and not typical Camrose rice.
Adedd after owners reply ------
So much audacity from a below average restaurent. At least you would have replied formaly for improvement. But your reply shows that you don't care if a customer is not happy and will go, but you will not change and very much happy in doing so. I remember one of the restaurent owner having same kind of attitude. The food taste very much excellent. I ate in many chinese restaurent but I never found so good taste anywhere. Only problem was he was also having same attitude like yours. The result the restaurent have to shut down bussiness. Lot of restaurent serviving just because of the owners good nature and relationship. Well I will not come back to your restaurent again, wish you all the best.

Authentic flavours that I will come back for the regular. The portions are large so I would recommend sharing with friends when you come here. Also great to buy for meal prepping for the week ahead.

The food at Khao Hakka isn't offensive however the aggressive smells and odours of industrial level garlic onions and pungency being churned out by the vents of this business is exceptionally repulsive
If you live anywhere within a 100metre periphery of Khao essentially near the area bounded by King Street Sherbourne, Princess and Front you will definitely know what I'm talking about the smell hits you like an olfactory assault of 100,000 mashed garlic cloves and onions being churned out a steaming vent. If you walk by Abbey Lane you will actually see the vents of the building that houses Hakka pumping out this blindingly toxic cloud of garlic onion mace
I like garlic and I like onions and have an exceedingly high tolerance for it, but this the level of odour from Khao is so bad, as someone who lives in the neighborhood, I'm convinced that the odour is being absorbed thru the ventilation systems of nearby buildings and it's a very offensive problem

The food is always fresh and just hits the spot! It always feels clean and doesn’t cause issues later like other hakka spots that add too much garlic and msg!

This food is bussin!! The service is done with a smile and genuine love of what they do. Listen if you want to know what hakka really is, you have to give this restaurant a try. You will be full, you will have leftovers, and the next day it will be even better. Please give it a try.

Diet Coke + Hakka noodles (with shrimp) came out to $20.08
Good service, clean restaurant, fresh ingredients. Unfortunately my food was incredibly salty, and not very good. Portion size is average for the price.

The love of Delhi in the heart of Toronto. Khao offers the epitome of comfort food if flavor, a little heat and resulting food coma are your thing.
