Fantastic food. A bit cheeky to add bottles of water to the table at $7 without asking permission - but the food is great.
The food was very favorable and delicious. The service was very friendly and attentive. We will definitely go again.
I had a really bad experience here. We waited outside for quite a while because there was no host at the stand. It wasn't even busy — maybe 15–20 people inside — yet no one greeted us. When we were finally seated, we were placed right in front of the door. We asked to move since it was cold, and the server said “one minute” but never came back. Eventually, we had to ask another girl to close the door, but it was opened again later. When we ordered, the server returned 15 minutes later saying there was a system issue and he needed to retake it. One of my friends has a nut allergy and can't eat spicy food, but that was completely forgotten. The place looked chaotic — staff were running everywhere, and even a chef in uniform came out to seat guests. I ordered a margarita that tasted like straight tequila with no lime. The manager asked later if it was okay, clearly aware it wasn't good. The dahi puri was disappointing, and though the biryani was fine, it was still too spicy for my friend. Staff kept bumping into our chairs, and we could even hear them arguing. One manager was loudly swearing (Bhenchod machine kha h?!!) about the payment machine — unacceptable in any restaurant. To top it off, the sparkling water was listed as $6 but charged as $7. Having worked as a restaurant manager myself, I've never seen such disorganized service and lack of professionalism. Definitely not coming back.
The Tasting menu was a great option for us to try a variety of dishes. All selections offered were delicious. Also, if you're going to a Mirvish Show next door, this is a good option for dinner beforehand.
Food was great in taste with full of flavours. Ambience and music were soothing. However, washrooms need to more care. Its a popular restaurant so expectation is high including level of cleanliness and facility in washroom.
Service dropped quite a bit and some food taste and quality has dropped considerably. Some food items were not available but took a while for the waiters to confirm. This just resulted in wastage of time. Some orders were never delivered (but not charged as well). It took 40 mins to come and check whether we need dessert after we had finished food and were desperately trying to get someone's attention.
The best food outside Deli. My favorite restaurant in Toronto. The tasting menus give a great selection.
Food on the tasting menus was excellent. We shared a non- veggie and veggie tasting menu..all the offering were delicious. Each dish had a l'unique flavour profile and while each menu was designed for one person with 1 large piece of protein, it was large enough to be shared and had ample sauce/ curry. Bread basket was varied and plentiful. Unfortunately, the service was lacking. We were seated, given menus and our order was taken...only to have someone come by 10 minutes later to give us menus again...not realizing our order had been taken. Service was slow. We had planned 1.5 to finish the meal before going to the theatre to give us 30 minutes before the show. We were told that 1.5 hours should be more than enough time. In the end, we only had about 10 minutes to get to the theatre and get settled. (Which worked out as it is right next door- but more rushed than we had hoped). We waited a long time for appetizers after ordering..-30 minutes and then there was a gap between appetizers and meal. We only received the meal at 6:40. We sat with dirty dishes between courses..and the dinner plates where not removed before dessert was served. They removed the empty food plates but not the side sharing plates. We ate dessert (which was delicious) with our dirty dinner plates on the table. Tap water service was slow and never refilled. Finally, the internet was not working and it took approximately 10-15 minutes to get our payment processed after multiple tries. Overall the food was excellent...but service was disappointing - especially for the price point. We are always accustomed to excellent service at Indian restaurants and this left a lot to be desired.
We arrived early and the hostess seated us immediately. Our server, I think her name was Vimmy (sorry if I butchered her name) came over to our table straight away and offered us drinks and let us know about the menu. We asked for her recommendation and she suggested the tasting menu. Wow, just wow. Loved it all, the flavours with just the right amount of spice, perfect. Our server kept checking on us and making sure our wine was always topped up. Excellent food and excellent service. Very happy with our choice in restaurant! Highly recommend.
We had a team dinner. The mixed platter was good. The food tasted well but it was very spicy. The chef did not know how to make a Lachcha paratha and ended up serving a tandoori roti everytime. The tea tasted dismal. They had limited menu choices available and hardly anything for vegans. The person taking the order looked highly confused and could not guide us properly on the vegan choices available. Once in a while, they forgot to serve the orders we had placed and needed reminders. Overall, it was just a fair experience and definitely not in line with the expectations we had under the banner of a celebrity chef Mr. Sanjeev Kapoor.

Vinny was really amazing
Sir, I've been a big fan of yours for a long time, which made me really look forward to this dining experience. However, I have to share honestly that the food did not meet the expectations I had for a MasterChef-level meal. While it was decent, it felt more like regular restaurant fare—nothing particularly unique or memorable that stood out. I truly respect your work and hope this feedback is taken in the spirit of appreciation and honesty. Looking forward to seeing your creativity shine even more in the future.
We arrived for lunch and were immediately seated. The staff were professional and attended to us perfectly. The food was very good and the atmosphere was classy and quiet overall. Prices are a little high, however it was a special treat for us, so we were fine to enjoy it. Would definitely come back again. Located right next to Mirvish Theatre on the backside.
The food is very good. Our server was also very nice and fast. The tables could be less sticky, hence the 4 stars
