From the moment I walked in, they didn't even notice me as a customer and told me to sit anywhere without any kindness. The table was messy with spilled water, and I almost ended up with wet clothes. I called them to place my order more than three times, but they didn't come. I understand that they might be busy, so I walked to the counter and I said I wanted to order in person, servergave me an annoyed look and told me to wait.The salad wasn't fresh, and they didn't even to ask if there was anything else I needed. I've never seen a sushi restaurant like this before. I should have not give a tip at all, my mistake.

Love Kibo! I used to go there when it first opened as Asahi on Walker Ave and Summerhill. Cozy and jazzy music with amazing sushi! I’ve been going there ever since! It’s been now ~12 years and I always bring family and friends and now they are hooked too. :) best sushi in TO!

The food is very good, prices also good, service excellent. Our only reservation is about the constant parade of take-out and delivery-pick-up agents coming through. It degrades the otherwise pleasant atmosphere, and when the delivery agents are using a bicycle, the noisy cyclist shoes are a further distraction.

The Kibo Sushi on Lakeshore in Etobicoke is absolutely pathetic. The only this worse than the substandard dirty take out only atmosphere is the attitude of the employees.

Having visited Japan and hailing from Asia, I found the flavors of the Karaage, Tempura, and the delightful taste of the salmon sushi to be undeniably Japanese and delicious. The overall ambiance was delightful, and when paired with Japanese AHSHI beer, the experience was truly exceptional.

I've been here quite a few times because its close to work. Its pretty decent chain sushi, but just that. Its quiet and there is usually space to sit down. I usually get the lunch special for $17. Be warned, the Udon noodle soup special also comes with miso thats a lot of soup!

Food is bad. Heavy mayo goop on everything. Barely any fish in the premium rolls or other dishes. Whoever is working this kitchen doesn’t have good taste or skills.Dishes are DIRTY. Look inside the blue water cups. They have built up gunk in the bottom. Disgusting.Service is ok. Friendly-ish but inattentive and requires multiple follow ups.Cute place, nice atmosphere, but doesn’t follow through.

I was a regular up until Feb 14 on Valentine’s Day. It was the same girl from tonight that treated me in a bad way and I decided to never return. Tonight it was raining and the local pub was way too busy. I wanted a drink and some food with mom. So we decided to give this place another chance. Bad idea! We asked for two glasses of Chardonnay. One glass was badly cracked and about to break. She didn’t notice. I brought it to her attention. Before I could add to what else I wanted to say, she took the glass and came back with a new one. I then finally asked her if it is by ounce for wine serving. As it looked like a wine shot not a wine glass. I asked her to top it off a bit and happy to pay extra if needed. With a dirty look she topped it off. Food came. Food was great. We finished. Put the plates to the side or end of the table. Both, mom and I noticed she saw the dirty dishes as she looked over a few times. Never came to clear the table, yet alone ask us if the food was ok. If we need anything else. Or to inform they are closing. She left us like that until 9:30 on the dot. Then she came over asking us if she can bring the bill. Like we have much choice ha! On the way out she thanked us. Told her thanks but never coming back again. They just lost a regular for good. Too bad for the chefs. They make great food! Picture attached is how we sat for about 20min without anyone else in the restaurant. Table was at the front by her service desk. Very, very hard to miss.

Ordered through uber many times in past with no issues. So give 3 star. But 1 star tonight. Vegetable tempera ice cold and soggy. The salad (and I know it’s a small side salad) but literally had 7 bits of lettuce and some shaved carrot. Usually the small container is full. Looks like they ran out of lettuce with mine. Rolls also usually 5 star tonight 1. Maybe too busy, the order took much longer than usual. Was the “preparing order” that took 30min+. The driver was here in 6 min after arriving at kibo. Be a while til I order again.

Definitely the worst of all kibo locations, the cashier with the blonde streak seems to be a usual suspect in the negative reviews with her attitude. The rolls are sloppy and fall apart on contact. Unfortunate, as the bloor w/Charlotte street/St.clair and other locations are all great and consistent.

7 of us sat down for lunch midweek. All the food was made with quality ingredients, presented well, and very tasty. Portions were quite large, so don’t over order. They offer 10% off for cash. I would have given 5 stars if the server had been more attentive. So all in all a great place for Japanese food.

Kibo Sushi - Summerhill. It's disappointing that the customer service was lacking, and not providing chopsticks or tissues for a delivery order is definitely inconvenient. Having to eat with your hands is not ideal and reflects poorly on their service. I hope they take my feedback into account to improve their offerings.

I did an order and by mistake I put the wrong address. Not even a minute after they accept the order, I canceled it. So I called Kibo to solve my issue and I was told to come and pick it up my order but the venue is too far from my place and it would take more time than i had before they close. So the lady started to be very rude and wasn’t showing any solutions for my issue. Fortunately uber eats solved. I don’t recommend this place. Worst customer service experience ever.
