Yet another queen west location I will not be going back to . Old man dose not wash his hands and began making a large pizza smh , I watched him come in from outside , I’ve watched them inside , basically the heat may kill some off the things but watching him make it I was mind blown ,I went here often until I saw this and few other things that are just not cool in a food setting . Won’t be back like as in ever , and I did eat here maybe once a week , sad but as a chef there’s no way .
Have some respect for what you are doing or don’t do it , simple . Anyways I know this place is busy with 20 somethings late night who don’t know any better , wish you the best of luck .

I’ve been coming to King Slice for over 10 years, and for a long time it was nothing short of legendary. After concerts, after games—King Slice was always the staple stop. The slices were massive, the dough was consistent, and quality was never in doubt. It truly lived up to its name as one of Toronto’s pizza institutions.

But unfortunately, something has changed. About six months ago, I visited the Queen St. location and noticed a massive stack of pre-made pizza shells. Not fresh dough waiting to be stretched, but par-baked shells. At the time, I thought maybe it was just an efficiency move to keep up with high volumes, which both locations have always dealt with. But as soon as I picked up my slice, I knew it wasn’t the same.

I gave them the benefit of the doubt, thinking it might’ve been a one-off. But after eating again and hoping it would be different, it’s official—the King has fallen. The dough now tastes like thin flatbread, closer to a PC frozen pizza crust than the legendary King Slice base I remember. On top of that, the sauce and cheese portions feel stripped back, leaving the slice flat and lifeless compared to what it once was.

It’s game over for this once-beloved pizza place unless the owners course-correct. King Slice built its reputation on quality, not just volume. If efficiency has taken priority over authenticity, then the “kingdom” is in serious danger of collapse.

Toronto deserves the real King Slice back.

I mean…it’s ok!!!
Crunchy thin crust is great. I ordered pepperoni and I put extra S&P and chili flakes just to give it more flavour. It’s quite bland tbh

The pizza was godly, loved it. The shop gets too hot so be prepared. The pizza is perfectly done. 1 slice is good for one person but we all got 2. We tried margherita and arrabiata both of which were really good. Will absolutely go again!

A great slice of pizza. It has a unique slightly bitter flavour to accompany the tangy sauce and crisp underside. I can't begrudge the floppiness of the slice either, it suited the character of the slice well.

I will say, the most impressive part of the Saturday night visit was witnessing the absolute machine minding the front. She was taking orders and working the oven at a pace never before seen, while staying hygienic. Always a pleasure watching an expert at work.

I recently checked out King Slice in West Toronto after hearing quite a bit of buzz, and it definitely lived up to the hype. I opted for slices instead of a full pizza so I could try more varieties and ended up going with the margherita, deluxe, pepperoni, and arrabbiata. All four were excellent, but the margherita and arrabbiata stood out as my favourites—surprisingly so, since I usually lean toward meat options.

The slices are massive—literally hanging off the plate—and the sauce was rich, flavourful, and tied everything together nicely. The arrabbiata, in particular, had a great balance of ingredients, including mushrooms and jalapeños, with just the right amount of heat to make it interesting without being overpowering.

The spot is perfect for a casual grab-and-go meal, especially if you’re heading to a park or want to enjoy a laid-back bite outside. The quality, portion size, and flavour make it a place I’ll definitely be returning to. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and craving great pizza.

Garlic oil was sooo goood. We tried to see if there was a difference so one pizz slice had it and one didn’t. We definitely recommend adding it as a first comer

Big, flavorful slices with a unique prep style. They cut each
oversized slice in half, brush it with seasoned oil, and reheat it in the oven. The crust is firm with a slight crisp, not too bready. Cheese-heavy compared to the sauce, but still balanced overall. A distinctive take on pizza that stands out-worth checking out.

Fresh, thin crust, limited specialized menu - speaks to what they do best! Tried the Arrabiatta and Margherita pizza slices. Made perfect. Do ask for their garlic oil drizzle (no additional cost). At around 6 pm on a Sunday there was no lineup. Would go back for a good fix in the T dot! Will try their salads next time.
