King Taps King Street Reviews
We had booked the lunch on June 30, 2025 as a final farewell before a co-worker went off on maternity leave and we had a reservation and we were really disappointed with the service. I’m not sure what happened but someone dropped the ball. We received our Korean chicken appetizer and finished it and then a waitress picked up our plates and then we were waiting over half an hour to forty-five minutes and we had to flag another waitress down to get our food to go since our lunch...read full review
We made reservations Dec. 2nd for Dec. 5th at 5pm for 5 people. We were NOT told at the time of reservations that our table would be OUTSIDE!!!!! After being at the Distillery District all day.....out doors...... we were very disappointed to find out we were sitting outside underneath an open stairwell. King Taps King Street provides a lively and welcoming atmosphere with good food and an extensive beer selection. The service is attentive and friendly, with staff offering helpful recommendations, especially for out-of-town visitors. The restaurant has a rooftop-like patio, which is popular even on chilly evenings thanks to outdoor heaters and cozy blankets. Inside, the ambiance can get loud with music and is quite dark, creating a vibrant vibe. The food consistently receives high praise, with dishes like the BBQ Chicken Pizza, Stinging Bee Pizza, and Shrimp Tacos often praised for their quality. The pizza features a classic medium crust with a thin middle and fluffy outer ring, and plates are usually cleaned, indicating satisfaction. The patio is outside and not fully enclosed in winter, so it relies on heat lamps, which may be less effective during the coldest months. Overall, King Taps King Street remains a lively spot for good food, drinks, and a positive experience, with excellent service from staff like Milly and Rachel enhancing each visit.
