They are very nice, even i am just here to pick up for delivery. the environment is good, clean and tidy. good luck for your business
Easily one of the best vegetarian restaurants I have ever visited in my life. Their enoki mushroom balls and mixed vegetable soup are to die for. The only problem with this place is that the food is so good, you don't want to stop at eating a reasonable amount. They don't overuse oil or sugar and the food is very light but incredibly satisfying.
A problem l've noticed with most fake meat is that it attempts to taste like real meat but falls short and instead tastes like an inferior version of meat. Their meat substitutes don't really taste like meat but are great in a different way and don't leave me missing meat at all.
They also have a fantastic tea selection and a store in the back where you can purchase the leaves to take home. They're better than many dedicated tea stores.
The seating area is spacious, open, and clean, and their servers are always pleasant. Overall, heavily recommend this place.
I normally like this place. Today’s bad service gives me good reason to frequent other veg places. They have a hard time serving a table of 7. Unacceptable
This is normally my favourite restaurant to visit when I am back in Toronto. However, I came here for my birthday dinner and was extremely disappointed with the service. We were a group of 7, and only two people received their meals after ordering. After 35 minutes of waiting, the other five of us got our meals. When asking the servers about any updates, they were short with their answers and offered no compensation. We arrived at 1pm to eat, and we only all received our meals by 2:15. As someone who has worked in the service industry as a server and as a line cook, the coordination of this operation was astonishing. My family and friends felt frustrated, undervalued, and disappointed in the service we received. No one apologized, gave an explanation, or was attentive to our needs. There is a clear disfunction between the back of house and front of house. Wish this could have been a better time at what used to be my favourite place to go.
Absolutely astounding place. The food tastes equally as amazing each visit throughout the years. I highly recommend the bbq duck and assorted seitan.
Very good
I love this restaurant. Everything I've tried has been great. The staff are so lovely and attentive. The vegetable soup is my favorite, it feels like health in a bowl to me. Highly recommend.
So amazing to see a vegan/vegetarian Chinese restaurant!! Very rare and worth a try, in Kensington right beside Chinatown
We ordered the szechwan tofu, curry vermicelli noodles, spare ribs, crispy chicken and hot and sour tomyum soup. We raved about the spare ribs for the rest of the night. The waitress was very sweet, service was great and we got a free pot of oolong tea! Hot and sour soup was the right texture and everything, meat substitutes were very believable.
Atmosphere was lovely but the restaurant seemed relatively quiet for the time we went. Would love to see this place when it's busy!!
Such a gem! I thought the male waiter was the owner. He is so incredibly nice, and kept on apologizing for the slow service. The menu is not made from plastic like other menus, there is a small book library in the middle of the restaurant, as well as some food items you can take home. Especially heartwarming to see a vegetarian restaurant that specializes in Chinese cuisine. Everyone at the restaurant was nice and welcoming. A homey feeling.
Yummy Asian variety. I tried the ginger “chicken” with broccoli. Fairly priced.
Restaurantji Recommends
Great vegan options as well and many plant based things to buy from their store too for someone that cooks at home. Overall my favorite!
With a great store inside, this place us all vegan and delicious.
Food was awesome, the service was great and an amazing vibe!
If you’re vegetarian and missing Dumplings and bbq pork buns then this is your place. Very good vegan Chinese food. They even have an area where you can buy frozen items to take home. They have a lot of fake“ meat” options. There used to be also a robot that comes and brings your order to you. Very big space with lots of seating.
Also ask for a email survey and after completing the survey you will receive a code which you bring into the restaurant and you will get a booklet with $5 and $10 off coupons.
All vegan. So many options! Can’t think of anything I wouldn’t order again. Can accommodate small and large groups. Clean. Staff helpful. In Kensington Market!
