Been seeing this one on Instagram and actress Michelle Yeow raves about this place as well, so we drove down to check it out, but unfortunately on a Saturday afternoon, it was quite busy with an hour + wait time, so we ordered take out instead, which was pretty good speed. It took around 15 mins to get our takeout order for a busy, not that many tables but still. Here was what we ordered: 2x Kopi (condense milk & evaporated milk-cold/hot)- $4.80 each - The hot one appears to taste a little different compared to the cold one. Cold one taste not strong at all and a bit watered down. Not sure what kind of beans they use, but I don't recall Kopi tasting like this in Singapore in general. 1x Carrot Cake (there is black & white version), we ordered black- $14 with sambal sauce- $2 extra. Its basically kind of like turnip chopped up in chunky pieces with egg, green onion, dark sauce of sort. The taste is good, but the sambal sauce has decent taste too, but for paying $2, you literally get a teaspoon portion in your takeout little container sauce. 1x Hor Fun- $22- Rice noodle with egg sauce, shrimp, chicken or pork slices, bok choy with a side of chopped jalapeno pickled sauce. I've had quite a bit of Hor Fun in other Malaysian cuisine like, and this one was a bit disappointing. Not saucy enough, and not sure why its bok choy used as well. Not the worst, but likely average. 1x Nasi Lemak- $18- rice, anchovies, peanuts, otak otak (fish paste of sort), half a boiled egg. This is the national dish from Malaysia in general. The taste is decent, but again, we've had better elsewhere. For the price point its okay but not something to get next time. 1x Beef Rendang- $24- Rice, beef, potato, half boiled egg. - Personally this one was their better dish for the price point. The beef was decently tender. Maybe some of these dishes will taste better if you eat in. In terms of ranking from best to worst, I'd say is Carrot Cake, Beef Rendang, Nasi Lemak, Hor Fun. I know this is Singaporean cuisine and not Malaysian and all, but these dishes are also available in Malaysian restaurant as well. Probably not the carrot cake though. Possibly may try again on other dishes in future.

Had a lovely time at Kiss My Pans new location! I had tried some of their food (beef rendang and savoury carrot cake) from past food festivals and pop-ups. I recently came at peak lunch hour on a Saturday, so a queue was expected. Luckily it was sunny out, and our table of 2 was fine waiting outside. (Shop and dining area is lean so there's no space to wait inside.) After a 30 min wait, we were called inside. Owners are very warm and welcoming. David helped explain how things worked (it was our first visit) and we quickly ordered at the counter and paid, and then sit at our table waiting for our hot meal. After you order, you get served baked goods first -- as that is served at the counter. Soon, my Kopi C with oat milk followed -- which was so smooth and delicious with my Kueh Bakar! Shortly, our hot food items were ready and we grabbed our trays from the counter. The beautiful Tingkat Trio was as tasty as it was gorgeous! Each dish (Har Cheong Gai, Ngoh Hiang, and Tauhu Goreng) are unique flavour bombs and such a delight of different taste and textures. We also got the Roasted Chicken Rice which was a comforting dish, reminicent of Hainanese Chicken for me but with crispy skin. I also took home a Kaya Croissant -- and it made a great part of my breakfast the next day. Really enjoyed all the food -- which is incredibly hard to find similar -- and was happy to support local small business. Looking forward to try other items on the menu!

Warm inviting service and we received our meals very freshly prepared. Good portions, very tasty - can confirm this is authentic Singaporean food, something really missing from the Toronto food scene. We will definitely be back with more friends so we can enjoy the full menu and share these amazing flavours with our friends who haven’t made it for a visit to Singapore yet. This is a counter-service casual dining spot - no reservations, expect to wait if you go at typical meal times and weekend brunch. They have many specialty food pantry items from Singapore, as well as some desserts.

Genuinely one of the best meals of my life. There was a 20 minute wait to be seated for lunch, which wasn't too bad. We had the Tingkat Trio and the Nasi Lemak. The Trio was the star -- the rolls and the crispy tofu had flavours that took time to unfold. My friend and I had never been so silent while eating before. My only regret is not bringing more people along in order to be able to sample more of the menu!Service was friendly and prompt -- you review the menu and place your order at the front counter, and grab your place settings and water to the side before grabbing a seat and digging in.I really can't wait to come back! I might wait a little while though until the influencer presence has died down to be able to enjoy my meal in a little bit more peace -- which is just the reality with any new restaurant in Toronto these days. :P This place is still a 5/5 for me!

Customer Service is NOT THERE.-waiting for a table inside initially, was told to wait outside the restaurant at 5 °C, for around 45mins-We had to share a table with another party-order and pay at the counter first thing you got into the restaurant-everything is self-serve style: utensils, napkins, water-the tray and plates from previous customer were not cleaned 10 minutes after we seatedIF YOU DON’T CARE ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE, JUST OPEN A TAKE-OUT SHOP LIKE THOSE IN SINGAPORE LOL. NOT TO MENTION THE DEFAULT TIP OPTIONS ARE 18%, 22% , 25%???P.S. Food was ok but portion is EXTREMELY SMALL

Kiss My Pans is a gem, not only in the neighbourhood but Toronto in general. It is not your typical Toronto dining experience and that is the beauty of it. You order at the counter and wait at an open table. The owners are hospitable and care about the quality. Being a Canadian through and through, it is refreshing to have a taste of south east Asia. The food is delicious, and welcomes an unpretentious crowd, something l need more of.

I can't say I was super familiar with Kiss My Pans before eating there, but when I heard that it was considered a hot new restaurant, I was immediately intrigued. We showed up around 11:00 on a recent Saturday and the tiny place was already half full. (And by the time we left, there was a waiting list for tables, so show up early!) We figured we should probably share a few things, but choosing two items from a menu full of delicious-sounding items was no easy feat. (As an aside, the menu is infuriatingly not online, so I can't offer up an exact description of what we ate.) We wound up getting the Roasted Chicken Rice and the Char Kway Teow. The former is a solid interpretation of a classic Asian dish, although nothing about it blew me away. The latter is a tasty noodle dish that's enhanced by an included bowl of hot sauce. I'll be honest, I enjoyed the food but the price point ($68 including tax and tip!) is a little insane, considering you can get similar dishes at any number of Asian restaurants around the city and for a whole lot less. I'm thinking maybe we ordered poorly, but in our defense, when we asked the guy behind the counter what we should've gotten, he basically said everything on the menu is good. Oh well.

god bless you guys for offering an experience that is so hard to come by in this city. i grew up in brunei and always ate singaporean classics. thank you for providing an outlet where i can revisit the flavours i miss so much.try to understand how difficult it is to run a small business in toronto. then try and understand how hard it is to represent a style of cuisine where its typically inexpensive (when you are actually there). then you will know no one does it, these ingredients come from far, rent is high and the toronto public is relentless. if you want satay for $1, pay thousands of dollars for a flight to singapore and do all of us a favour and satay there.this is an unpretentious dining experience. a lot of hard work and passion goes into the food and beverages they offer.. tip, even if its not a lot. it goes a long way.

I have to give 1 star even I haven’t tried food yet.Me and my friend went to this restaurant couple weeks ago on Sunday around 11.So awkward at the first when enter the restaurant.About 3 people waiting outside the restaurant so we just went in and saw empty tables and we just sat there. And I guess the owner yelled at us please wait outside. So we went out to stand in front of the restaurant and observe.Later on the 3 people who came before us went in, go right to the counter stand there about 10 minutes.I just guessed from outside, so the thing is…. when you get to restaurant you have to wait until they call you in and go to the counter, order food and maybe pay for your food and you will have chance to sit at the table ??? It’s like self service restaurant.Me and my friend saw about 20 people inside, already sat at table talking and waiting for their food. I saw only one table got food and the rest still wait and wait and wait.Think about to ourselves we have to wait for table ( table was full after 3 people went in already) People inside are not even get their food yet and HOW LONG WE HAVE TO WAIT ?????We skipped breakfast and really want to come to this restaurant… we walked in the cold weather to get their ( about 15 minutes walking distance from our apartment)So me and my friend decided to leave, not to wait such a terrible first experience at the restaurant.I am not recommended if you are very hungry and have to wait for hours +.. to try their food. It’s might be only Singapore restaurant in Toronto but any way, I don’t want you have a bad experience and waste time like me.I never ever have such a neglected service from the restaurant like this before. Most of the new restaurant in TO very have first impressions and want you to go back. There food looks good but after reading the other reviews maybe I postpone go to back and try food.I have been to Singapore and love Singapore food there and so excited to go out to support and try BUT after awkward service like that.. no nothing to tell the customer about their procedure ??? for get seats and order food.I suggest the owner should have sign or come greeting customer not just yelling from the counter and tell customer to wait outside in the very cold day.Or at least the some menu for people while waiting outside to see and decide to go in and order. It will help save a lot of time for the customers and yourself.I understand you may have fews people working in the restaurant. Not only food people want to try but the service have to be incredible too.I understand that restaurant is very small. Maybe you can get rid of the presentation table away and put more seats for the customer. There is one big table on the side that they show item, snacks for sell.By the way their food is not cheap about $24 before tax for one dish plus tip if you willing to give them for self service.I don’t have any bias. Only my opinion and my own experience. Maybe people who read this got the different experiences from me.

I ordered Char Kuey Teow and it was sadly a missed. They even charged me $2 for the sambal which was literally a tiny sauce container. It tasted too bland to be Singaporean/Malaysian. Also, I wanted Milo but it ran out. My friend ordered Kopi C and she criticised how there was a lack of condensed milk in it so it didnt hit the spot. The worst of it is the fact that you have to tip at the counter but there was barely any service given as you have to pick up your own food. The atmosphere felt like home though. I felt like I was back home the moment I stepped in. Overall, I wouldnt come again for the food. Perhaps just the Milo.
