Kitten and the Bear is a little slice of breakfast heaven in Toronto! The scones are buttery, flaky, and melt-in-your-mouth, paired perfectly with their house-made jams. Cozy, charming, and perfect for a slow, dreamy morning with tea. A must-visit for anyone who loves pastries and a relaxing atmosphere!

Delicious scones, great tea, beautiful store! I told my partner he could spin and choose anything in the store for me, it is perfectly curated for tea lovers. Just a note that it isn’t a cafe, it’s a shop, so there is only seating for 1-2 people at a time. Perfect place to drop by and grab a treat ☕️

Went to an event held there last week. The clotted cream was absolute perfection! Felt like I was back on England again as I devoured my scone. Yummy! 😋

Hands down the best scones I have ever had in Toronto. I am not British and by no means an expert in scones but these are hard to top! My husband and I visted for the first time and were greeted by the owners and the staff very warmly. They were handing out free samples of scones with clotted cream (delicious!) and even had an amazing 20% off going on for their clotted cream jars with which they also handed out a free gift bag complaining the best clotted cream, jam and tea samples!

I would give this place 10 stars if I could. Definitely going back again. And again!

Best scones in town and excellent quality of jams, good selection of tea but removing one star as we can no longer sit to quietly enjoy both.

Don’t go there as a birthday outing looking for a table to enjoy scones and tea. Although tables are pictured, none exist!

I ordered a latte and small shortbread cookie.

Their lattes are listed as $7 and the shortbread, $4 per piece.

This place is beautiful but while I was in there, a set of shortbread cookies ($24) had a piece of hair on top of the box.

I ordered a latte, and the person at the cashier charged me 7.50 for it. Once I spoke to her about it, she said she forgot update the pricing but unfortunately, tried to follow that up with trying to justify it saying it's presented as a specialty drink with attitude and it truly was not.

It was a very awkward and unfortunately although I was very excited to try their shortbread cookies, I only experienced a negative experience here.

The most delicious scones, jams and clotted cream (cream tea). A cute shop, friendly service, and unbeatable treats. Takeout only.
Would highly recommend!

I was craving a high tea experience, so I searched for options and was delighted to find that Kitten and the Bear could provide one. The package arrived looking just like the pictures, if not better. I was captivated by the elegant and charming packaging. It was beautifully wrapped and incredibly delicious. Thanks a million!

We came to this place on my parents 30th anniversary as they wanted some scones and this bakery was highly rated. We got one of their new iced drinks “iced white chocolate matcha latte” and it tasted just like a regular matcha I could make at home. I was disappointed I paid 7.50 plus tax for that. When we asked if we could get a bit less ice because of a sore throat, the girl said it’s a specific recipe and she can’t alter it. All we asked for was a bit less ice?

On the scones, we tried the earl grey and blueberry, elotes, and pineapple and toasted coconut. The earl grey and elotes were good, but I’ve had better scones for sure. Unfortunately the toasted pineapple and coconut didn’t have much flavour and tasted pretty much like a plain scone.

Overall, I wouldn’t come back. The service from the cashier wasn’t great and it didn’t feel very welcoming.

Let me first say that the scone was phenomenal. Worth getting the clotted cream and a pot of jam. The service though - was lacking. We asked which jams they had available and were directed to read the sign. But oh yes they didn’t have one of the flavours. I was hoping for an enthusiastic run down of the jams and which ones might be a favourite.

Did a jam making workshop here which was lovely. I was not really a jam person until I tried their jam.

Cutest little place to get scones I love getting the frozen ones and they’re making them at home. They have a wonderful jam selection that’s all made in house and small batched that are delicious. I say the jam quality is up there to the PEI preserves they do have used tea cups, although in my opinion, they’re very expensive but they do test them all to make sure that they’re in fantastic condition
