Recently went to get a classic salmon bowl and noticed they are only scooping a HALF scoop of fish into each bowl. $17 for half a portion of fish. Not worth it.

Got the salmon poke. Decent portions and fish was good, but the sushi rice was just terrible. Super sticky and bland which took away from the entire meal. They had the box already made basically as soon as I ordered because I didn't ask for any substitutes so maybe it was sitting there for a while. Either way, would not go back.

Small portions compared to other locations (have been to square one, Scotia plaza etc. and they’re all great). Also they seem to be in such a rush to put random things in an order that I’m trying to customize - if I have a severe sesame allergy and if the staff are halfway into putting sesame in my food (customizable box where I get to choose) and THEN asking “sesame?”, what’s the point? You’re putting an ingredient into my food that I did not ask for, that you are assuming I want, and that could kill me.

On top of that, all members gave off attitude due to a small misunderstanding of the order (this is not a big deal, mistakes happen but part of good customer service is trying to rectify it) but there’s no need to treat people with disrespect. I ordered a custom box, the employee did not ask what I wanted and assumed the toppings. When I stated that I did not want those toppings, another staff member came in and asked the person putting my toppings on “you didn’t ask them what they wanted?” And she replied with an apologetic no. Rather than solving the issue by just creating a new box for me, they instead took out their anger on me and said “you have to tell them what you want as toppings”. What does that even mean? How am I supposed to tell you what I want if you’ve already started putting random toppings on without asking me? Aren’t you supposed to ask and then I can tell you? I assumed this was basic customer service? The other locations do not treat people this way. Would not recommend this location to anyone.

Portions are the stingiest I’ve seen compared to other locations… Awful service and attitude from the whole staff. They are rushing through a lunch lineup and don’t care to ask customers what their order is. I wanted to choose my toppings and they started filling it with random items, not even following their set menu… and when I told them I didn’t want that (because I have a sesame allergy and they have added it to my food without asking) they say it’s too late and make a whole fuss blaming me for not saying I wanted a custom box in front of the whole line. I like Koha but never going to this location again…

I had such a great experience at Koha! Food is fantastic and staff is so polite and knowledgeable. Food was amazing! I had the salmon bowl and and edamame it was delicious. Definitely will be returning for more!
