Omgosh wow! This was an amazing spot! The staff here were so helpful and bubbly; they were so welcoming the server went above and beyond to describe each pocket of sushi too ? now on to the food itself...wow!! So so good. The flavours were rich and you could tell the chef prepared each one with care. I loved the interior as well! So kawaii! I definitely recommend visiting this spot in Kensington for sure!!
Food and service was SO good! Stopped by for a quick lunch, and was thoroughly impressed. Pocket sushi was amazing. Shoutout Anna for being the best server!

Koi Japan sushi was my first experience having pocket sushi! ?The service was really good, especially since we came on a chill day. We had the Koi lover for two. Which included : - 6 pcs of Pocket Sushi - Customer’s Choices- 2 Miso Soups- Takoyaki- House Salads for CAD $48.We thought it was a pretty good deal for two people. The soup, salad, and takoyaki were yummy and well proportioned. For the pocket sushi, I honestly don’t remember every single one but I remember that the spicy torched salmon was my favorite. As we ate the pocket sushi we were confused because it was cold, but I suppose that’s how it’s meant to taste which threw us for a loop. So, that left not the best impression of pocket sushi because it’s breaded and the bread was cold. So maybe if they heated it up for a while, it would be better but all in all I had a good experience. Check it out for yourself!

We had the Koi lover for 2 which came with a salad, takoyaki and miso soup, everything was so great and was served in courses which I liked. The set comes with 6 pocket sushi, which was, in retrospect, enough for 2 but we were hungry so we added two more pockets. We tried scallop fantasy, stamina unagi, spicy torched salmon, and truffle mushroom. It is hard to pick a favourite, they were all so delicious. The stamina unagi stood out, it was an explosion of flavours at every bite! Will be back to try more!
