Very disappointed! Worst Korean restaurant that i went.We ordered Stone Bibimpab its very dry, kalbitang the beef is hard as stone, chicken is too spicy and its more on flour than the meat and the side dish is not enough for 5 persons they just served us 2 portion. I wont recommend this restaurant.

This review is specifically related to our experience placing an order via a delivery app that was cancelled 26 minutes later which is an inconvenience. Why have your storefront open online to cancel orders?

Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. The staff and especially the owner (Jay) are all very warm, friendly, and attentive. Easily and handily deserving of a 5-star rating. Thank you so much -- I had a wonderful time eating here.

Well, this restaurant used to be good but how can you enjoy a meal whether there is very people working as seem to be overworked as it is where there’s no air conditioning you’re in a room inside of a room inside a room off the side trying to eat a meal, which basically could cook itself in the rooms temperature and Oh God enjoy conversation with friends while sweating into wherever food you’re eating that was our experience that was has been my experience the past two times being there I keep giving them a chance third time is not the charm will never be going back. You’re making enough money put on the air conditioning like really people you can enjoy a food meal or time with friends. If you’re sweating waiting to get out of there into the fresh air outside, it was a horrible experience has been the past three times we never go back and I don’t understand how a restaurant in Toronto this size does not have AC and the food is subpar or seafood soup with no seafood in it. What’s the point just give me some broccoli and noodles and charge me less than .
The appetizers they give it in the beginning now they skimped out beyond belief. It was like three pieces of turnip for four people and a small plate like really the point where like you know it just looks skimpy and cheap and we’ll go to the other Korean restaurants that we find are better quality and better service and better appetizers and better food and have AC. . If the AC is not working, put on saying sorry AC is broken otherwise I wouldn’t have to endure this for a third time in a row.

Terrible service, our server didn’t checked on us once. Japchae was way too salty, kimchi pork had no flavor and the meat was super tough. Green tea tasted like water and they charged $3 each… what a joke! Took 30 mins just to get the bill. Definitely would not recommend this place.

I had a really good experience for my birthday. The staff were super nice and friendly. Especially Jason, who absolutely filled my heart with joy tonight. He was so friendly, kindhearted. The absolute sweetest man ive ever met. I have no words to describe this man’s kindness. He made my day. Appart from that, the food was delicious! When i tell you i hadn’t enjoyed food the way i enjoyed my meal tonight, in a long time, i mean it. Go give this place a try. It’s so worth it🫶🏻

As a general skeptic, I was surprised at the consistent five star reviews for Korean Village Restaurant prior to experiencing it myself. I was pleased when I realized that the consistent high ratings were warranted, specifically the dinner service. I went for dinner on two separate occasions in a large group and on both times, the food and service were excellent. Jason, the owner, is unpretentious, hardworking, and makes an effort to connect with patrons. His level of service and effort toward communication and relationship-building is a lost art in the restaurant industry and was a refreshing change of pace. The rest of the service team compliments Jason’s business ethos.
The house-made Lemon Soju ($22.99 for small, $43.99 for large) was refreshing, smooth, and did not taste strongly of alcohol. I ordered the Spicy Japchae ($14.99 for small, $23.99 for large) which was well-seasoned with nice textures, as was the Korean Vegetable Pancake ($17.99). The Stone Bowl Bibimbap ($19.99) was a low point, unfortunately. I found the tofu texture a bit strange (gummy on the outside and spongy on the inside in an unideal way) and it was under seasoned. I finished my meals with the Strawberry and Vanilla Ice Creams ($6/ea) which were very creamy and a perfect way to end the night. At first, I was a bit apprehensive about the high density of the ice cream which is sometimes a signifier that it is not that flavourful or creamy, but these worries were assuaged after eating it.
Overall, I am very pleased with this restaurant: I had a lovely meal and got to meet a local restaurant icon.

I recently dined at Korean Village and unfortunately, the experience didn’t quite meet my expectations. While the staff were polite, several aspects left me disappointed.

The dishs I ordered was less than average in both taste and presentation ( bulgogi, kimchi fried rice, seafood pancake and porkbone soup ) nothing particularly memorable. What stood out more, however, was the portion size, which felt small given the price point. Compared to similar restaurants in the area, the value just wasn’t there.

I didn’t feel the experience justified the cost and would not recommend. I have been to many establishments in the area and nothing measured up at this restaurant.
