Biryani is a vibrant and aromatic dish, with fragrant basmati rice, tender marinated meat (or veggies), and a perfect blend of spices like cardamom, cumin, and cinnamon. The rice is light and fluffy, absorbing the rich flavors of ghee, while the meat is succulent and tender, often slow-cooked for maximum flavor. The dish is a balance of savory, spicy, and slightly sweet notes, enhanced by the crunch of caramelized onions and the occasional freshness from raita. Each bite offers a satisfying combination of textures, from the tender meat to the crunchy bits of rice at the bottom. Overall, biryani is an unforgettable, flavor-packed experience—comforting yet sophisticated, and a must-try for anyone who loves bold, aromatic dishes.

I recently had the pleasure of tasting a truly amazing biryani, and it was nothing short of spectacular! The aroma alone was enough to get my taste buds tingling with excitement. The perfectly cooked rice was fragrant, with each grain holding a burst of rich, savory flavor. The spices were perfectly balanced — not overwhelming, but just enough to create a deep, warm taste that lingered. The meat (I had chicken) was tender and juicy, marinated beautifully to soak in all the spices. It melted in my mouth with every bite, adding a perfect contrast to the texture of the rice. The addition of crispy fried onions and fresh cilantro brought an extra layer of crunch and freshness to the dish. Every mouthful felt like a celebration of spices and flavors, and I found myself savoring every bite. This biryani is a must-try for anyone who loves rich, flavorful comfort food. I can’t recommend it enough!

Recently visited this restaurant and it was a letdown. The service was slow and inattentive, and the food lacked flavor (cold, rubbery naan and bland butter chicken). The only saving grace was the pleasant ambiance, but it didn’t make up for the overall experience. Definitely not worth the price….. Wouldn’t recommend!

the mains are good, although many dishes are spiced too similarly. the onion bhaji i had were undercooked and pasty. the naan and chapati are fine.

the service is spotty. one time it was great, the server was attentive and speedy. the other time the server was slow and inattentive despite the fact that there were only four customers at three tables.

the dishes are a bit eclectic, but the copper drinkware and copper-plated bowls for the mains are a nice touch. i wish that the music was more traditional and atmospheric; there were a bunch of pop covers and upbeat music, not ideal for dining. the space is cosy.

all in all, its not bad, but you pay extra for being downtown

Atmosphere: Warning to diners, as with most Indian restaurants, do not wear clothing you plan to wear the next day. Also Christmas decor was still up, a bit strange as we are more than halfway through January.
Food: everything was very tasty, fresh, and hot, however you can easily give the chicken pakoras a miss.
Service: i felt quite bad for the 1 waitress who was managing all the customers on the floor, plus takeaway, plus the phone. She seemed quite overwhelmed and would disappear for quite some time (possibly to support the back staff), thus service was extremely slow. It took nearly 20 mins to place our orders and majority of other customers seemed irritated by the slowness.

Ordered paneer chettinad ,tandoori roti and mango lassi. Kept the spice level as 4 for gravy. The gravy box was filled with oil. Taste was not at all good, it didn't have any taste (including salt) except chilli. It had barely few paneer pieces and most of it was tasteless gravy. Tandoori roti was ok. Staff had good behavior and was helpful. Mango lassi was not much sweet and it had sour taste in it but it was manageable.

Good food but too understaffed. Made us wait 20 mins to take the order only to tell us that they can’t take our mains for right now

Quick dinner for myself and daughter before a show. Server noted that there may be a bit of time to get food as they were a bit busy. We appreciated the notice, but had planned well, so we were able to relax and enjoy. The food started with onion bhaji, not as crispy as I would have liked, but the flavour was great. Dinner-rice, naan, chicken kurma and palak paneer -was plentiful and very tasty, I would be happy to return when in the area.
