I love the food but unfortunately I’ve had multiple unpleasant and very uncomfortable experiences with the owner and I won’t be going back for this reason.
Our favourite neighbourhood spot :) house ramen spicy is the way to go!!!!
My favourite Ramen place in the neighborhood! All their ramen is great but I usually order the Yuzu because it's my favourite :) Excellent service & friendly staff 5/5 🌟!
It’s really unfortunate — the food is excellent, but the staff is remarkably unfriendly.
It was my first visit, and I was simply trying to understand the menu. Instead of helping, the young waiter responded with a rude and condescending tone. About 10 minutes later, I returned to pick up my order, and the same staff member pointed vaguely at a package and said, “There,” as if eager to get me out the door. I still thanked him, but he just looked at me blankly, said nothing, and turned away into the kitchen.
Having a good understanding of Japanese culture, I found this behaviour particularly surprising and disappointing.
Frankly, I’ve had far better service at places like McDonald’s — at least the staff there greet you and show basic courtesy.
The management of this restaurant should seriously consider addressing how their staff interact with customers
Great ramen at a great price
I came in for the lunch special and had the kyouka donburi with the kyouka house ramen. The grilled pork in the donburi was very well-seasoned and was complimented by the hot bed of rice. The house ramen tasted very authentic and included two of the largest slices of pork I've ever gotten in a restaurant ramen. The noodles were the star of the show; perfect cook and texture.
The staff was also very attentive and made sure I had everything I needed. I would definitely come back for more donburi and to try another type of ramen.
Tried it because of the long line, but honestly it wasn’t for me. The ramen was really not what I expected — might be the worst I’ve ever had. But locals seem to love it, so maybe it’s just for me.
btw, if you’re used to more traditional or Japanese-style ramen, this might not suit your taste
Staff is rude, ramen soggy, the ramen broth is tasteless

This place is perfect.
The ramen was just beyond delicious. I guess I've never had ramen before this. Not like this. Heavenly. Prices are good. Portions are perfect, I had one bowl and think I might explode. I had the Kyouka ramen, medium spicy, my toddler son had the dipping ramen, and we shared the spicy chicken dish (I forget the name). Dipping ramen is just genius, I'll be getting that next time. My son loved the fish cakes and the meat pieces the best, silly boy. Though he put away his fair share of noodles as well - and slurped like a pro. He was a bit rambunctious and messy, but these wonderful employees were so graceful about it. I gave them a 20% tip because they deserved it.
Lastly, the green tea was perfect, not too bitter, light and tasty. I can't wait to go back when we're not driving so I can try the plum wine.
Thank you, Arigato, Kyouka! Delightful!
(Love the little info cards at every setting, very interesting to read. Seriously about to shed a tear over how much I love this place. 😭)

‼️STAY AWAY‼️
This is hands down the worst “ramen” I’ve ever had. (If this even qualifies as ramen)
Only come here if you’re willing to pay $20 for a bowl of flavourless hot water with slimy instant noodles. The table water served was room temperature.
Side note - Owner was being rude to the server which made me uncomfortable. The owner should feel ashamed for serving this mockery of ramen while simultaneously treating his staff poorly.

The best ramen place ever!
I can confidently say that Kyouka ramen is the best ramen place I’ve ever visited! It was incredible. The broth was perfectly seasoned, and the toppings, especially the chashu softly melted in my mouth. The noodles were the ideal texture, and every bite was a delight.
Also the service was outstanding. The staff were knowledgeable and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. I can’t wait to visit this place again!
