I was at La Capricciosa for the first time for dinner on 23rd January 2026 with my wife and a client. We were being served by Hannan. Since we were going to order a bottle of red wine, Hannan offered to bring us a taster. He brought us small shot glasses and poured all of us the red wine to sample. As I was drinking it, I felt something solid in my mouth and I spat it back in the glass. When i looked at it carefully, to my horror, it was a COCKORACH. I took it quietly to show Hannan near the bar and he apologized. We paid our full bill of $200 as I did not want to make a scene in front of my client. Next day I called, the restaurant and spoke to them and asked to speak to the owner. I was told that the owner Marco will call me on Tuesday 27th Jan or before. No one called me. I called again on 28th Jan and i was told again that Marco was communicated my experience and once again they will remind him to call me. No one has called me yet and today is 1st Feb. Absolutely disgusting. PLEASE DONT GO TO THIS RESTARURANT!!!! THERE ARE COCKROACHES!!!! I will be reporting this to the city food department.

La Capricciosa is such a great spot — the food tastes amazing The ambiance is also a standout. The place has a warm, cozy vibe that makes you want to stay longer, whether you’re there for a casual meal or a special night out. It’s inviting, comfortable, and just overall a really nice place to enjoy good food with good company. Highly recommend if you’re looking for delicious dishes and a beautiful atmosphere. Also a big shoutout to sir Marco for a fantastic service !

Incredible everything! Came here for my birthday in October and loved it so came back in December. The waiter remembered my face despite only going once before! The lychee martini and Caesar salad are unbeatable, and I absolutely adore the penne alle vodka. Food came out in 15 minutes, server was so attentive and FREE BREAD! Will definitely be coming back!

La Capriciosa is such a little gem. Every time I come here, I feel like I’ve been adopted by an Italian family. Marco, the manager, greets you as if you’ve known each other for ten years! he’s genuinely one of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet. And the food… my god. The pasta here should honestly come with a warning label: “May cause you to forget every other pasta you’ve ever tried.”
the vegetarian pasta with veggies is my favourite perfectly cooked, full of flavour, and somehow always tasting like Marco personally whispered something nice to it before serving.Highly recommend for anyone who wants delicious food and a little Italian sunshine in their day.

Restaurantji Recommends
We visited La Capricciosa and ordered the pasta alla bolognese and the penne alla vodka, along with the regular garlic bread with cheese. Both pastas were tasty, but the vodka sauce had a slightly strong alcohol flavor. The service was pleasant and the overall experience was enjoyable.

I would not recommend this place. The service was poor, it seemed like the waiters forgot about us. The place wasn’t full, there was only one other table in the restaurant occupied and they served another table that came 10-15 minutes after us with all their dishes first. It took 20 minutes for the arancini to come out and 35 minutes for our margarita pizza and pasta to come out.
The arancini is supposed to have peas and meat in it but I could barely find any meat inside and there was only like 2 peas in it.
The pizza was pretty disappointing and is not authentic Italian pizza as shown in the picture. The dough was a lot thicker than usual and it wasn’t that appetizing. I would recommend you go somewhere else for pizza.
The pasta was mediocre, didn’t have much sauce on it and wasn’t anything to write home about.
It’s comical and I don’t understand the raving reviews as it is no where near other 5 star authentic Italian restaurants I’ve been to.

Had the carbonara and the seafood risotto – both were delicious! The carbonara was creamy with crispy guanciale, and the risotto was packed with fresh seafood. Service was super friendly and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I’d come back to! ❤️❤️
