I can't speak for the food but the gelato was the absolute worst I've ever had in Toronto, roba próprio vergognosa. Hard to believe an Italian owner would serve that.

La Capricciosa is incredible! All the food we had was authentic, fresh, and delicious. The arancini, penne a la vodka, galletto al mattone was beautifully done. The chicken was flavored and grilled perfectly. The service was excellent. We're already planning our meal for our next visit!

I honestly loved this place. It’s cute not very busy and very very good. The gnocchi and calzone were honestly 10/10 i loved it so much. Honestly complements your the chef because i was very satisfied. we had the nutella pizza for dessert and honestly i think it was missing something to make it pop like strawberries or marshmallows but it was still good. Definitely worth checking out

Food was delicious. Service? Questionable. Waiter only spoke to my boyfriend despite me being the one who paid. We asked for spring water and received sparkling. When I mentioned we asked for spring water and not sparkling, he didn’t take the bottle away & I still got charged for it. Lol?
Would recommend for the food not the service.

Very small and quaint restaurant in Bloorwest Village. Looked at the menu, walked in, nobody yet there and took a chance. Decor is a little dated, but that's fine. We were met by Marco, who was ever so pleasant, took our orders (margarita pizza and spaghetti carbonara), which came out very soon after ordering. Both delicious and when we about to leave, had a brief conversation with Marco, who told us he was from Rome, also prepared our food until the chef showed up until 11 am and chatted in Italian! We were astounded at his efficiency and ability as a one-man show. More importantly, I was pleased with the food and would absolutely visit again, not to mention recommend. A small gem, people should pay attention to.
Excellent!
We had a great experience in La Capricciosa. It has a wide menu with a lot of options. Congratulations to the cook. Every dish was nicely prepared. We came with a group of 8 friends. We had bruschetta as an antipasto and it was wonderful. We ordered differents dishes, veal, salmon, la carbonara, pizza, etc. Each one was very tasty and well presented. We all had desserts: gelato, cheesecake and tiramisu.
If you want to have a nice time with friends and family with not so much noise and to have at the same time a little taste of Italy you should try this place. It is not a big place but it has a very nice ambiance. We loved the instrumental music and the cozy vibe that allowed us to have a relaxing time with friends. Marco made sure that we all enjoyed a nice time together.
Give it a try. You will like it. 😉
Recently, enjoyed a delicious lunch and drink at la Capricciosa. The chicken sandwich was tasty and the accompanying salad was perfect. I look forward to dining at this restaurant very soon. Mario was a wonderful host.
