We went to this place for dinner and were immediately hit by a bad smell as soon as we walked in. We ordered a couple of appetizers, queso fundido and guac and chips, and they were absolutely awful. The queso fundido tasted like melted processed cheese with an unpleasant and poorly balanced combination of flavors. The guacamole looked far from fresh, with a brownish color instead of a vibrant green, and the chips tasted stale and reheated. We decided to ask for the check right away and leave to eat somewhere else. To make things worse, the bathroom was filthy and didn't even have toilet paper. I strongly do not recommend this place.

Excellent Food, Great Drinks — Ambience Needs a Boost: The food and drinks were excellent — truly the standout here — but the ambience doesn't quite match the quality. The décor is sparse, the space feels more geared to takeout, and a bit of music or warmth would go a long way. We also felt a steady draft whenever the door opened, even from the back, and the bathrooms need real attention. Fantastic flavours, just needs a more inviting vibe to round out the experience.

The food I received is completely burnt. It has a very strong bitter taste and is not edible at all. Additionally, the rice is completely hard and undercooked. Burnt and undercooked food can be harmful to health, and I’m really concerned about consuming it.

Food was pretty good, nothing amazing though. Unfortunately, the servings were tiny. I got take out, and my bowl was half empty. Staff was nice when picking up, but disappointed by the tiny amount to food. These portions are child sized, not worth paying for if you eat a regular amount.

Haven’t been here in years! Great vibes, the music and decor made me feel like I was in Cali. Server was very attentive and sweet. I had the vegan chorizo and in cod we trust tacos, my friend had the achiote chicken and sweet potato tacos. All delicious!

The food portions and quality compared to other La Carnita restaurants is terrible. Service was incredibly slow despite there only being three other tables to serve. We had to ask for our drinks twice, and our food took 45 minutes to come out. The guacamole is not fresh/ house made. I had shrimp tacos and mushroom tacos. The shrimp taco had 1 shrimp in total that was cut into three pieces and battered to look larger. The mushroom taco hardly had anything in it as well.

I came here for dinner with a friend. The restaurant was not busy so we were seated right away. The staff were friendly and had good recommendations from the menu. The food itself was delicious and the pricing seemed fair. I was surprised to see so many mediocre/bad comments here, I would definitely go back for another meal here. The nachos were really good.

Wowzer, expensive, total waste of money, sad to say. The tortilla chips were teeth breaking ,the salsa was mediocre. Not being mean, just our opinion.
Delicious and well-priced Mexican food. I especially love their margaritas! What’s also good to know is that they have a special each day of the week. I would recommend you check this place out!
