Update #1
I wrote the original review a year or so ago.
Since then, I’ve been severely disappointed in management.
The bar staff, servers, and chefs are all amazing.
The last 2 times I’ve had to deal with the manager I’ve been disappointed.
1st time : my partner and I walked in without a reso. And he said they were full, however they had open seating at the bar. I asked to sit at the bar and he didn’t want us to sit there. He hesitated and said “I guess”.
2nd time : I emailed for a reso and got no response. So, I called to ask about the reservation, and he said he had nothing available before or after the time I requested. I had a friend call to make a reso and he made it for her, 30 minutes after the time I requested.
So, we cancelled and went elsewhere. I won’t be back.
Update #2 (post manager response)
I emailed at 1pm the day of, not exactly last minute, and didn’t get a response. If the manager took the time to send an email back, I wouldn’t have had wasted my time calling and dealing with poor customer service.
You HAD a 5 star review for the last year, which is subject to change after such poor managerial capabilities.
If you wanted to update the restaurant you manage so well, you should have an online system where you can make a reservation instead of picking and choosing who you want seated at La chingada. Seems biased, doesn’t it?
As for the rude call, that wasn’t from me. I was very nice on the phone and you proceeded to be incapable and choosing to be uncooperative. After the 3 years I’ve been an avid regular, and the manager “prioritize the quality over profit”, you definitely don’t care to keep regulars who keep your doors open and bills paid :)
Clarification; when we sat the bar, no one else was upstairs the restaurant or at the bar.
Congrats on making yourself look stupid.
Management didn’t want us in thier restaurant because of ego?
(Original review has now been deleted, the 2 star review was for your poor staff that you degrade every time we were present, now it’s a 1 star)
The drinks were on point, and those fish tacos and fajitas mouthwatering. the combination of flavors was amazing!

The best churros I’ve ever had, even better than the ones in Mexico. Guacamole, carnitas and margaritas are also great with happy hour prices. Definitely worth it, will be back!

Take it from a Mexican who travels and eats constantly between Mexico, the US and Canada. This is hands down the best Mexican restaurant in the whole Toronto area. I have tried the majority of Mexican restaurants in the GTA, and the far few that are great/amazing, La Chingada sits at the top of that list. To start, the presentation is perfect, each taco looks like it just came out of a commercial shooting. There is no taco that is not amazing from their menu, staff is nice, and generally there is no wait even on their all you can eat Thursdays. Carne asada and al pastor are a must try. Best al pastor in tow certainly. To top it off, their drinks and cocktail selection is also great.

One of my favourite Mexican restaurants because their tortillas, they have the most delicious and authentic tortillas in Toronto. That detail makes their tacos so superior than most places.
They also have A lot of nice deal like happy hour any day of the week and tacos buffet.
Hour server was very nice and she was coming very often which we appreciated a lot, we never had to look for her or ask to take our plates away.
The bad side is that they have very little tables for 6 people and every time that we try to book a table they don’t let us, they do not connect tables or let you add an extra chair which in many occasions have send us to a different spot.
I highly recommend their ceviche tostadas, their house chingada taco is amazing and their margaritas too.
The carnitas was way too salty and lacked of flavour.
The street cont and the shrimp tacos where the best of the night.

Went here for their happy hour service. Perhaps I ordered the wrong food items because their pork shredded taco and their ceviche were not fresh at all, I’d avoid ordering those two items on the menu. I placed the order and not even 2 minutes passed, the food arrived. Both of the items smelled off. Maybe their other food items are better, but I wouldn’t come back here again.
