They have a little bit confusing menu because it’s too large that it really takes time to read all dishes and drinks details and descriptions but thanks to our server Alberto because he was super very friendly, attentive and helped us pick our meal and drinks accurately. Everything was good and tasty but the service made our experience even better. We’ll come back for sure.

I had high expectations for this place due to the reviews but unfortunately the pozole I ordered was underwhelming, veeery salty. The encebollado wasn’t great either, and the plantain chips they included were stale 🥲
What a great spot! Karaoke night on Saturday is so much fun. As the only gringo there, I still had a blast! 😆 the food is great too (I had the birria tacos), and the service is excellent. Definitely recommend

Hard to find good Ecuadorian food downtown but officially found our new spot. The services was outstanding, our server Alberto was attentive, knowledgeable, and very accommodating to allergies. Highly recommend! Best Bolon I’ve had in so long

It’s not easy to find Ecuadorian restaurants near downtown, so I was excited to come across this spot. I had the encebollado—a traditional Ecuadorian fish soup—and it was absolutely delicious. It truly made me feel like I was back in Guayaquil!
Our waiter, Beto, provided outstanding service. He greeted us with chips and water right away, and his warm, friendly attitude made us feel right at home.
The atmosphere was lively and welcoming. The music was a bit loud for my personal taste, but that’s just a minor detail.
Overall, this is a great place to enjoy authentic Ecuadorian cuisine. I’m already looking forward to coming back to try something from the Mexican menu as well—I felt very welcomed here!

I want to share my experience with the owners of La Chupería. They came as customers to the nightclub where I work on Saturday night. At closing time, when our security guard politely asked them to leave, the female owner shouted racial slurs at him — calling him “racial slur towards a dark skin individual” several times in front of staff and other witnesses.
It was humiliating and unacceptable. No person deserves to be treated that way, especially not someone simply doing their job. This shows the character of the people running La Chupería. I cannot support a business whose owners behave in such a racist and degrading way.
The food was really good .
We tried Shrimp cocktail, Piña colada and tamales as suggested by Martin . I loved everything they served and the service is amazing . Will surely be back.
