Absolutely superb restaurant! Excellent service from Roberto.
Stay away.
I don't think there's a better way to describe dining at La Fenice than feeling that you're being scammed.
Although the food is decently cooked, the size of the portion compared to the price they charge is a joke.
$26 for 5 grilled butterflied shrimp.
$24 for a raddichio aragula salad supposedly with goat cheese which I'm still looking for to this day.
$39 for at best 120g of 3 miserable veal scallopini with 2 steamed broccoli floret, half a little potato grilled and a boiled carrot stick which belong to a supermarket vegetables and dip assortment.
There is nothing to redeem this place. The order was not even put in properly and they got the wrong sauce with the Scaloppine.
Clearly their economic model does not hold water anymore, and the customers are left paying the bill for an average restaurant who is struggling to make end meets. It's sad.
Took my husband for his birthday dinner here. Our server was wonderful. The food was exceptional. The food was authentic, fresh and perfectly prepared. It was comparable to our experience in Italy. My husband also got a candle on his dessert which was a nice surprise. The only room for improvement would be to space out diners. The restaurant was not busy when we went but the had all 5 occupied tables were beside each other and it got quite loud at times. The diners were a mix of walk ins and reservations.
This was amazing and the service was outstanding. Would recommend this place to anyone.
The restaurant has such a great ambiance. The staff are so lovely and the food is so good. What a fabulous place. There is a lovely space for gatherings.

Another wonderful meal and memorable dining experience enjoyed at La Fenice on King Street West in the heart of our theatre district, across the street from TIFF, offering diners a warm and cozy ambience; friendly and highly attentive service and delicious food. My favourite is the Fettuccine Salmon and for dessert the Tiramisu made in-house.

I had the fettucine bolognese - the pasta was made fresh (whether they make it, or buy it fresh from somewhere I’m not sure), but it had very poor texture. There were tiny little bubbles on the surface of the pasta which tells me that it’s either not kneaded enough, or it is too dry or old. The sauce was very tomato forward, and the meat didn’t have much flavor that is typically associated with bolognese (rosemary, thyme, carrot, celery, garlic). The service was very friendly. I’m not sure it warrants another visit however.
