I appreciate that in Toronto I can find quality milk bread (生食パン) at a reasonable price. This famous white bread is soft, chewy and heavenly tasty on its own, any spread or jam is just overkill.
The bakery also offers some special flavored breads, I have enjoyed both longan honey and black sesame bread. Those distinct ingredients easily found and used in Asia add so much unique and rich flavor to a plain loaf.

I spent the whole afternoon at La Petite Colline & Shan Shan Cafe, and it was a perfect spot for getting work done while enjoying great coffee and snacks. The cozy, quiet atmosphere made it easy to focus, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The coffee was delicious, and the snacks, including some tasty pastries, were the perfect accompaniment. Great place for dates or to enjoy an afternoon tea. Service and food quality are always exceptional. Make sure to go early in the day to get the pastries you want. They sell out fast and can get quite busy. There are many great menu items. Honey comb espresso is the drink I typically order.
